Quiero compartir con ustedes una rica preparación que sirve como guarnición para algunas proteínas: puré de papas
I want to share with you a rich preparation that serves as a garnish for some proteins: mashed potatoes.
Cantidad para 2 persona
Amount for 2 person:

| 3 papas | 3 potatoes |
| 1 taza de leche | 1 cup o milk |
| 2 cucharadas de mantequilla derretida | 2 tablespoons melted butter |
| Sal y pimienta al gusto | Salt & black pepper to taste |
1-. Lavar y picar las papas a la mitad.
1-. Wash and chop the potatoes in half.
2-. En una olla con agua colocar a hervir los trozos de papas

3-. Pasados unos 15 minutos las papas se habrán ablandado, retirar de la olla y dejar enfriar un poco.
3-. After about 15 minutes the potatoes will have softened, remove from the pot and let cool slightly.
4-. Pelar las papas y colocar en un bowl.

5-. Si tienen un pasapuré es lo más ideal para aplastar las papas, en mi caso no tengo uno, así que utilizo un tenedor.
El pasapurés es un utensilio de cocina empleado en la elaboración de purés procedentes de verduras tales como el puré de patata, la salsa de tomate, frutas, etc.
Nota: No usar una licuadora para esto pues se desarrollará el almidón de la papa y el puré no quedará adecuado.
5-. If you have a masher it is the most ideal to mash the potatoes, in my case I don't have one, so I use a fork.
The masher is a kitchen utensil used to make purees from vegetables such as mashed potatoes, tomato sauce, fruits, etc.
Note: Do not use a blender for this as the potato starch will develop and the puree will not be adequate.
6-. Agregar la leche y la mantequilla derretida e ir mezclando todo poco a poco para integrar.
6-. Add the milk and the melted butter and mix everything little by little to integrate.
7-. Agregar sal y pimiento e ncorporar todo muy bien hasta obetener un puré suave y cremoso.
7-. Add salt and pepper and mix everything very well until obtaining a smooth and creamy puree.
Resultado / Result
Este puré es el acompañamiento perfecto para cualquier proteína. Sobre todo combina bien con el pollo.
This puree is the perfect accompaniment to any protein. Above all, it goes well with chicken.
