Rustic potatoes

Hace un par de años salí con mis amigos a cenar y probé unas papas rusticas, su nombre al parecer que tiene que ver con su presentación, cortadas en bastones gruesos conservando la piel.
Me gustó la forma de como estaban condimentadas.

A couple of years ago I went out with friends for dinner and tried some rustic potatoes, their name seems to have to do with their presentation, cut in thick sticks with the skin on.
I liked the way they were seasoned.

Entonces recordé esa ocasión y decidí compartir con ustedes una recetas muy fácil de hacer y que puedes acompañar tus platos de gran forma.

Then I remembered that occasion and decided to share with you a recipe that is very easy to make and that can accompany your dishes in a great way.

Ingredientes:

  • Una papa grande por persona.
  • Cinco cucharadas de aceite de oliva.
  • Una pizca de sal.
  • Dos cucharadas de orégano molido.
  • Dos cucharadas de paprica en polvo.

Ingredients:

  • One large potato per person.
  • Five tablespoons of olive oil.
  • A pinch of salt.
  • Two tablespoons of ground oregano.
  • Two tablespoons of paprika powder.

Lavar muy bien la papa con agua y jabón, para retirar cualquier residuo.

Wash the potato thoroughly with soap and water to remove any residue.

Cortar la papa en bastones de mediano grosor.

Cut the potato into medium thick sticks.

Engrasar el monde o recipiente con aceite de oliva, esto ayudará para que no se peguen las papas al éste.

Grease the bowl with olive oil, this will help to prevent the potatoes from sticking to the bowl.

Bañar las papas con aceite, masajear bien para que se impregnen por completo.

Bathe the potatoes with oil, massage them well so that they are completely impregnated.

Colocar sal al gusto, la paprica y el orégano. asegurando que todas estén uniformemente cubiertas.

Add salt to taste, the paprika and oregano, making sure they are all evenly coated.

Precalentar el horno a 200 °C luego introduce las papas por alrededor de 25 a 30 minutos.

Preheat the oven to 200 °C then place the potatoes in the oven for about 25 to 30 minutes.

Una vez listas puedes emplatar esparciendo sobre ellas orégano molido y acompañar con salsa de tomate.

Once ready you can plate them by sprinkling ground oregano over them and serve with tomato sauce.
