In the Philippines, when processing work requirements, you are required to submit clearances and identification cards. That means a hectic day lining up in the government offices. And that's why I felt exhausted when processing my job requirements.
Whenever I process my papers, I make sure to grab a quick lunch at a fast-food restaurant before continuing with my errands. And of course, I always choose McDonald's since it's always accessible wherever I go.
When I arrived at the restaurant, customers were already lined up at their kiosk. It means I need to wait for them to finalize their order before I can order mine. While waiting, I took the chance to look for an available seat and table.
Customers are waiting for their take-out orders and are seated in the waiting area. I noticed that there are only a few customers around, and it's because it's already 2:00 in the afternoon, meaning that lunchtime is over.
After I had finished ordering through their kiosk, I looked for a spot to eat. Since I am alone, I planned to choose a table suitable for one or two people.
I went to the cashier to pay for my orders and then sat down to wait for them at my table. I was given a table number because I chose to have my orders served to my table, rather than claiming them at the counter. I was looking at their screen to monitor my order number.
After waiting for about 15 minutes, a crew member finally served my order at the table. I got everything, even the utensils. I just requested a glass of water for my additional drinks.
I got myself some Fries, a Coke Float, and their popular Chicken Fillet. I tried their newly introduced curry sauce. I started eating my lunch and enjoyed every bite. Even though I am all alone eating here, I still found peace and enjoyment in the moment.
