Dinner at my sister-in-law’s

Finally, I’m able to join our Saturday dinner at my sister-in-law’s. We were on vacation for a while and then i was sick and didn’t want to get anyone else ill. Anyway, the first dish was prepared by my niece. It’s kimchi with Korean rice cake and tempura. Surprisingly, not as spicy as usual, but delicious, just the same.

The next two dishes were my wife’s. An omelette with oysters and string beans.

This was my contribution. It’s called dragon beard vegetable because of its curly shape. Not much effort. Just separate the curly part from the stem. It’s a crunchy and squeaky vegetable.

The next is three layer pork. We dip it in a soy sauce with scallions and garlic. My sister-in-law did this one.

My brother-in-law joking brought beef noodles from lunch. They were still delicious.

And to compliment the meal, my brother-in-law served Taiwan high mountain tea.

The perfect meal. Stop in and have a bite, my friend.
