BACK TO GOODNESS OF NATURE with HERBAL BEVERAGES, APPROVED!

Hello, friends especially foodies!

Recently after Sunday churching and finally my boyfriend finished the office business, we joined together in the Transjakarta station then went to M Bloc. An area in blok M, where many youngsters usually come around.

Instead of having coffee nor tea that time we preferred traditional beverages that day. That was why we went to a restaurant named ‘Suwe Ora Jamu’ it means Long time not having jamu (our traditional herbal nutrititious drinks).

As you could see this place had some nice outdoor dining area outside. And also there were some chairs and tables where people can hang out and do the chit chat. A bit spoiler about the weather around Blok M area is usually cool. And I saw a rattan set of chairs and tables that attracted me right away, but that day we decided to sit inside.

Before entering, we could see some of their banners, showing their food menus and of course, Jamu!

The tempting food menu for me!

Inside there were some paintings which unfortunately were not my type, they were too contemporary.

But overall the place was nice, comfy and had air cons. It had retrobold style of interior that made you blend quickly.

What interested me much that they have planets (the living ones) on each table.

Even the place has its’ special part to show their jamu ingredients.

For the menu, they had kind of botanical blends like kunyit asem, asam jawa, bears kencur, sereh telang, temu kunci, kunyit jahe, wedang jahe, temulawak rempah, rosella, and kayu manis sitrus.

Saptasari with some jamu collections. Jamu mixology. And also soda jamu (you would never find it in other places).

Confusing, we then opened another page of the menu book which made us more confused ahaha. Yes they had lots of traditional herbal drinks in Jami sugar sehat category, Wedangan and Jamu latte (what a unique collab). They also had some coffee, tea and other beverages like any other places too.

They also had some fruit juices that were uncommon too, their blends were special such as pineapple coconut nutmeg, dragonfruit coconut nutmeg, blended banana, apple turmeric (wow), and so on. Still they had jamu gembira (happy jamu) which made me smile!

They didn’t have many food as they focused on their healthy drinks. They had snacks in the cemal-Cecil category like bread ice cream, Mendoan tempeh, roasted banana bread ice cream, fried cassava (sad it was sold out), and some others (you would find some unique you would never find in other places).

For Indonesian food they had classic tongkol rice, squid rice, Balinese shredded chicken rice, Teri omelette rice, Godoy Javanese noodles (sold out, again :'), their best seller green Medan Teri fried rice, and other menus.

So cute that they had JAMU BAR there too. Where they prepared the healthy beverages.

Our HEALTHY BEVERAGES came first, the reddish one was

ROSELLA YAKULT - from Jamu Segar Sehat category

It had fresh chillin sweet sour flavor. Like you already know, the rosella had benefits such as supporting heart health by lowering blood pressure and cholesterol, even boosting the immune system with its’ vitamin C ingredient. So yes it is a healthy choice of drink with tasty flavour, APPROVED!

The yellowish was mine, guess what is it?

SEREH LEMON MADU from wedangan category

SEREH is lemongrass, it was a perfect hot mix of all goodness: lemongrass, lemon and honey. It was warm, fresh with lemongrass, lemon and honey. It had sweet sour flavor. SO tasty and also USEFUL, it could help fight my cold even that day! APPROVED by me, again!

Last I would close it with one of their main dish and one snacks (that tasted like heaven haha).

NASI GORENG IJO TERI MEDAN

Green fried rice cause they used the green chili as its’s main ingredient. I should say they tried hard on this menu to make it favorite, but I think they missed a thing weeks. Yes, I already found one the best in other place. Teri Medan is small salted fish which was tasty. Great and brave combination to the fried rice. Overall the score was 8/10, yeah I think it was quite tasty.

CIRENG WITH RUJAK PASTE

The one felt like heaven, it was a bit crunch but also chewy soft at the same time. The rujak paste made it even more special with sweet, sour and spicy flavour. I crave for more right now ahahaha. Guess the one that is better than those, only my cook ahahah. So I gave 10/10 score for these fritters.

I invite you to come back to nature more to get the goodness!

What a beautiful place with nice decorations to enjoy a meal and healthy drinks. I'm sure it was worth every penny spent.
