Hello, friends especially foodies!
Howdy?
I believe that mostly all us had some beautiful memories about food or maybe restaurant from our past, especially childhood time. So one day before my mom called, we spent one of our best times together, some, in this memorical japanese fast food bento restaurant.
Located on the 5th floor of Ciputra mall, an old mall at the west of Jakarta, here how the restaurant looked.
Now they were renovating their brand color to turquoise color instead of the old yellow color they had, it looked nice, i think.. Actually we reached there still early in the morning for a restaurant, it even hadn't 11 am yet!
Plus if you paid attention, they had new or old back favorite menus pasted on their front glass window.
Entering the restaurant we met a nice kind waitress who would fastly service us, asking the menu we chose and actually we could right away pick the menu by pointing at it.
As you could see they had package menus, with variant of fried dishes as could be seen. They had shrimp rolls, egg chicken rolls, ekkado and others. And now the waitress was taking our favorite beef yakiniku! Yum :9
Look i also took a wider completer menu of their side dishes, beside some i had mentioned, they also had some others like tori no teba, egg roll, ebi furai, shrimp tempura, chicken katsu, tori ball.
They also had sukiyaki there, some soups like clear soup, shirataki soup, chicken tofu, shrimp dumplings, and shrimp balls.
There after the waitress served our order we paid and self service taking the food to our table. Ta da, here what we had that day!
Our favorite dish, beef yakiniku. Mom had the ala carte for this dish while mine a complete menu (mom didn't eat much recently). My menu had a complete dishes like beef yakiniku, upgraded chicken tofu soup (which i gave to mom), and chicken katsu. Of course we also had rice, fresh salad and cold ocha that day.
Anyway this place also had a nice large cozy dining area with the soft chairs. Some customers came while we were eating at that morning so i could say that this place was a quite popular restaurant one!
For the food they had, you don't need to worry or even doubt about the flavour.
They had the best authentic Beef Yakiniku. Yakiniku they had had authentic japanase soy flavour, big beef slices less fat stirred with onion and paprika. It had savory with a bit sweet flavour.
They also still had best Chicken Katsu. Well done cooked and deep fried, it had crunchy outter skin texture with soft tender filling. The flavour of it was savory and i love how it smelled!
Next mom had one of hers and her elder sister favorite Chicken Tofu. With chicken meat as the topping to the tofu, the tofu had savory with no sour flavour at all (great quality of tofu). It had tasty savory flavour and i know you would love it too.
Well, my conclusion is, one of my favorite childhood bento restaurant is great and still exist until now. It had great food which not all branches of their brand could ever serve so you SHOULD try it too! And anyway it was also affordable and won't make you broke like no other japanese food restaurants.
