Eating at "Goiko Venta" restaurant 👍

This is a traditional Basque restaurant with a €28 menu (you can choose 1 starter from 6 options, 1 main course from 8 options and 1 dessert from 8 options), drinks not included. They currently have a ⭐4.3 rating in Google Maps and my personal rating was ⭐4.

The restaurant belongs to a hotel in the Basque Country which is very close to the Aizkorri natural park, in a privileged and quiet environment. Their price/quality ratio could be a bit better, in my opinion, but at least the products they have are homemade and with tradition.

  • Main dining room (they light a fireplace in winter).

  • White cream cheese toast with dehydrated vegetable topping (appetizer courtesy of the restaurant).

  • Red wine Lan Crianza 2017 from Rioja (€10 a 500ml. bottle).

  • Homemade duck lasagna with spinachs.

  • Ajoarriero Cod: typical Basque stew with flaked cod, vegetable stir-fry, tomato sauce, fried potatoes and crunchy dough.

  • Custard: I disliked it since it was very liquid.

Overall evaluation of the restaurant: 5.5 points out of 10.
