Hello friends Foodies Bee Hive today I want to share with you my favorite dish is made of green corn and it is traditional from my country Venezuela.
Hola amigos Foodies Bee Hive hoy quiero compartir con ustedes mi platillo favorito es hecho de maíz verde y es tradicional de mi país Venezuela.
It is traditionally known as cachapa; I don't know if any of you in another country had the opportunity to try this dish and you liked it; but for me it is a pleasure to eat it; In the Venezuelan plains there is a certain season in which this food is consumed more which is between the months of August, September and October. Of course, for me any moment is good.
Se la conoce tradicionalmente como cachapa; No sé si alguno de ustedes en otro país tuvo la oportunidad de probar este platillo y les gustó; pero para mí es un placer comerlo;
En los llanos venezolanos hay una temporada determinada en la que se consume más este alimento que se encuentra entre los meses de agosto, septiembre y octubre. Por supuesto, para mí cualquier momento es bueno.
I tell you what it consists of:
Les cuento en que consiste:
-The ears are taken and the green leaves are removed.
-Se tiene las mazorcas y se procede a quitarles las hojas verdes.
-Then the corn kernels are removed from the ears.
-Luego se quitan los granos de maíz de las mazorcas
-It is processed by a grinder until it is like a dough.
-Se procesa con un molinillo hasta que queda como una masa.
-sugar is added to sweeten the dough.
-Se le agrega azúcar para endulzar la masa.
-A portion of the dough is placed in a previously greased hot budare and shaped rounded; once cooked one side is turned over to cook the other side.
-Se coloca en un budare caliente previamente engrasado una porción de la masa y se le da una forma redondeada; una vez cocido un lado se voltea para cocinar el otro lado.
-And finally it is served on a plate, butter and cheese are added ready to taste.
-Y finalmente se procede a servir en un plato se la agrega mantequilla y queso listo a degustar.
In my case, I like to accompany it with fried pork and white llanera butter. some also accompany him with veal or other elements they are to the taste of each person.
En mi caso lo acompañamos con cochino frito y mantequilla blanca llanera. Algunos también lo acompañan con ternera u otros elementos es a gusto de cada persona.
It is something short and simple, but for those of us who love the plain like I do, we love to taste a cachapa and share the whole process with family and friends.
Es algo corto y sencillo pero para los que amamos el llano como yo nos encanta degustarnos una cachapa y compartir todo el proceso con la familia y amigos.
