Welcome, Hivers. Good day, everyone. I'm @eijnuj06, and I'm back with another blog. This time, I'll describe my experience eating at Puso Village after a long day at work.
This week, I was burned out at work due to a large backlog of workloads caused by a three-day system maintenance period. I've been exhausted all day, so I'm grateful that my coworkers asked me to join them for dinner after work, so we chose Puso Village.
Puso Village is a cultural and gastronomic tourism hotspot near Compania Maritima Cebu City. Puso Village officially opened to the public last July 17, 2025, with a soft opening last July 18, 2025.
After work, we drove to the location and looked for a parking lot. We were fortunate to find one in front of Puso Village. When we arrived at Puso Village, I noticed a large crowd and numerous food stalls selling a variety of delectable meals such as lechon, Tuslob Buwa, and various types of seafood such as crabs, shrimp, and lobsters, among others.
I wasn't able to photograph all of the food vendors because I went straight to our preferred food stalls and placed our orders. We ordered Unli Tuslob Buwa, which is a Cebuano term that means "dip in bubbles". It's a Cebuano street food made with pig's brain or lover with soy sauce, onion, and garlic. In this dish, the customer cooks it themselves; combine all of the ingredients in a hot pan until thick and bubbling. It was finest served with Puso (hanging rice), which was used to dip into the bubbling mixtures.
Aside from Tuslob Buwa, we had a mixed seafood dish with crabs, shrimp, and other seashells in a buttered garlic sauce. We also ordered Ginabot or Chicharon Bulaklak, a dip fried pork intestines. The name Bulaklak refers to the flower-like appearance the pork intestines take when they are fried and curled up.
We were just enjoying our food and having some humorous talks. This was my first time eating Tuslob Buwa, and it was amazing. However, this recipe requires a lot of Puso (hanging rice). It's a novel way to eat, plunging into a bubbling stew of pig's brain.
As I departed Puso Village, I couldn't help but be appreciative for the eating adventure I'd just had. The exhaustion from my long day appeared to vanish as I relished each piece of the delectable cuisine, and my energy levels increased. The flavors, textures, and fragrances combined to satisfy my hunger while simultaneously lifting my spirits. I hoped to return to Puso Village someday, eager to sample more of the local specialties and recapture the joy of eating that I had once known.
The food, the scene, and the people would stick with me, and I knew I'd be back soon to partake in another culinary adventure. I felt revitalized and ready to face the rest of my day, with a fresh sense of energy and a satisfied stomach. Puso Village had definitely given me a taste of Cebu's rich culinary legacy, and I could not wait to return and discover more of what it had to offer.
I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to those who've stayed with me through this blog. I am hoping to receive support by reblogging and upvoting my blogs in this Hive platform, and I am thankful for all the support I have received so far 💖.

I am starting to love this spot. The first time we went there last month nung tinanghali na kami mamalengke sa Carbon Market. Surprisingly presko sya kahit super init ng panahon.
Mukang marami nang stalls na nagopen, will definitely visit again for seafoodventures. 😂
Yes ma'am, its worth to revisit again kasi napakarami ng stalls
