The city of Lapu-lapu here in the Philippines holds an annual event called ”Kadaugan Sa Mactan” which also features the ”Kadaugan Sa Mactan Food Park”. This food park displays not only Philippine cuisine but also dishes from all over the world.

There are a plethora of options ranging from Filipino delicacies to international favorites. If you plan on visiting the Mactan Shrine, note that it's still at its Kadaugan Sa Mactan peak.

While I'm unsure of the food park stalls will be removed, you can check the tourism page of Lapu-Lapu City Philippines for more information. The food stalls have been in Mactan Shrine for almost two weeks already.

Previously, I wrote a blog about my ””Kadaugan Sa Mactan” experience, and now, as promised, I will be sharing my ”Kadaugan Sa Mactan Food Park” experience in this separate blog.

Since I've been here before and have eaten at their food park before, I already know what I want to eat. We planned to have BBQ for dinner and we brought rice to save some money on our meal. Here are the dishes we ordered.

We ordered 2 pcs grilled tuna panga, pork barbeque and chicken barbeque.

We also ordered 1/4 kilo of lechon.

On the brown food container is the rice that we brought.

We ordered a variety of Filipino favorites, including grilled tuna panga, which is the jaw of a tuna fish. It's full of flavorful meat and tastes amazing when well-marinated. I'd give this dish a 10/10 rating.

For pork barbecue, however, I'd rate it a 6/10 because the meat can be tough and rubbery, making it difficult to chew.

On the other hand, the chicken BBQ is well-cooked and has a great texture, earning it a 9/10 rating. The only downside is that it would be better if served hot.

One dish that is always present during special occasions in the Philippines is the famous lechon or whole roasted pig. It is a Filipino favorite for the start of the night, and it definitely deserves a solid 10 out of 10 rating. The flavors of the meat and other ingredients complement each other perfectly, making it a delicious tasting dish. The aroma of the ingredients gives a warm vibe, and the meat is tender and easy to chew. The skin is crispy, which is the highlight of the dish. Although it would be better if there were more skin served, it needs to be fairly distributed to cater to everyone's preference. If you plan on visiting the Philippines, make sure to try lechon because it is our specialty, and no special occasion would ever be complete without it.

After dinner, we decided to quench our thirsts with a fruit shake. Unfortunately, the line was quite long and it took us around 30 minutes to finally get our order. Thankfully, we didn't have to wait hungry since we had just finished our meal. The fruit shake stall was packed with people waiting for their orders, but we managed to get a Mango Graham Overload for 120 pesos. If you're curious, here are the other drinks available at the Frozen Bites stall.

If you're a mango fan looking for the perfect drink to quench your thirst, this may be the one for you. The largest size, priced at 120 pesos, is not bad for its size and comes highly rated at nine out of ten. The texture of the shake is enjoyable, and there are plenty of mangoes inside for a true mango lover. The shake also features Graham biscuits which add a unique taste, but some may find it too sweet. Unfortunately, due to the long queue, there wasn't an option to request a lower sugar level. Despite this, overall, it's a good-tasting drink that mango lovers will enjoy.

The ”Kadaugan Sa Mactan Food Park located inside Mactan Shrine, Lapu-lapu City, Philippines is currently open for the "Kadaugan Sa Mactan" celebration, but it's uncertain how long it will remain open.

As it was added specifically for the celebration, it may close soon, especially if the celebration has already ended in Mactan.

To obtain the full schedule of the food park's availability, it's recommended to visit the Lapu-lapu City tourism page, which will provide all the necessary information about schedules for the Mactan Shrine area.

Til my next food adventure! Ciao!☺︎♡

This food park looks amazing to my eyes a place where you can et a lot of cuisine from all over, the dishes you order looks yummi especially the grilled tuna, but also the mango drink looks so yummi and refreshing ❤️

I wanted to take photos of the individual food stalls in the food park but there was just too much people. I love that most of our favorite foods are served there. We chose to have Filipino foods tonight and no regrets it is indeed best-tasting! The mango graham overload tasted so good and is good to quench our thirst. Thank you so much for dropping by my friend @noemilunastorta and thank you for spending time to read my blog. ☺︎♡
