In the Philippines, it's clear that many food parks have sprung up, especially among the more affordable options. Cebu, in particular, boasts a plethora of fantastic food options, particularly when it comes to seafood.

As food lovers, we always seek out places with a wide variety of dishes to choose from. Among the many food parks I've visited, one stands out as particularly convenient, the Liloan Food Park located on the highway from Northern Cebu heading to the main part of Cebu City, and it's a perfect pit stop for hungry travelers.

Recently, after a long three-hour drive from our province, my partner and I stumbled upon this food park. We were famished and in need of a late lunch, so we decided to take a break. The location was perfect, and the food was delicious.

Liloan is a town in Cebu City, Philippines which is home to the Filipino delicacy, the rosquillos. It is where Titay's (the makers of the famous rosquillos here in the town of Liloan) is found and I have already shared it to you on my previous blog.

It is our first time to dine in here at the Liloan Food Park. So come join me!

While riding our motorcycle on the highways of Liloan towards Cebu City, we couldn't help but notice the smoke spreading all over the streets. Curious, we stopped by the Liloan Food Park to find out what was causing the smoke and realized it was the food they were selling, barbeque.

Since it was already late lunch, we decided to take a break and grab a few bites. Liloan Town Hall was nearby, so we stopped there to park.

The food park's location near the highway makes it a convenient stop for motorists and travelers who are in need of a quick meal. We highly recommend the Liloan food park to anyone looking for a tasty and convenient meal while on the road.

Here are the foods available at Liloan Food Park (Liloan, Cebu City, Philippines) :

The food stalls in this area offer a variety of barbecued dishes, such as fish and chicken barbecue.

Additionally, some stalls offer fresh fish salads served in small plastic containers. Raw fish is commonly paired with tomato, onions, and chili to enhance its flavor.

In the Philippines, barbecued dishes are often enjoyed with hanging rice, which is considered a better pairing than plain rice. The prices at these stalls are reasonable, making it a great opportunity to try out the local cuisine.

For a different option to pair with your meal, consider trying sweet potato instead of rice. Sweet potato also goes great with raw fish or seafood, especially when it's cooked to perfection. It's a delicious combination that I highly recommend, and it pairs well with grilled fish too.

With so many food stalls selling barbeque, it can be tough to stand out. However, the key to attracting more customers is having a friendly and welcoming seller.

People tend to choose dining at the stalls with the best customer service, regardless of the price of the products.

Cleanliness is also a significant factor in gaining more customers, as they want to ensure that the food they eat is fresh and tidy. Thus, business owners should prioritize customer service and maintaining a presentable, neat, and clean presentation to attract more customers.

One of the things I enjoy most about eating at places like this is when multiple stalls sell the same foods. I appreciate vendors who allow me to take my time and choose what I want to eat. I dislike feeling pressured to make a quick decision, as I want to be able to dine where I choose, especially when visiting a new place like this.

It takes time to decide which stall to purchase from, and I have great respect for vendors who give me the time to do so without feeling rushed. It is important to remember that not all customers want to be constantly bugged, so allowing them to make their own decisions and respecting their choices is essential.

If a customer does not want to purchase from your stall, it is important to move on to the next potential customer and not force them to buy anything.

Overall, it is crucial to consider the wants and feelings of your customers and give them the time they need to make their decisions.

These small plastic containers hold fresh, raw fish and seafood, as well as pickled papayas that make delicious appetizers and side dishes. In the Philippines, we enjoy eating raw fish and seafood, often in the form of fish salads. The key is to combine the ingredients in a way that creates a taste we love. Personally, I enjoy raw fish and seafood as long as it's properly cleaned, and I like to pair it with chili for some added spice.

At the Liloan Food Park, we ordered several dishes for our late lunch. Although I cannot recall the exact total price, we spent less than 250 pesos in total.

The food was delicious, and we were immediately satisfied since we were very hungry. The barbeque was especially great, it was perfectly marinated and not at all dry. The taste of the pork was fantastic. Overall, I would rate their food a nine out of ten.

Please take note that the food stores I showed you earlier are where you will place your orders, but not where you will eat.

The Liloan Food Park is located beside the Liloan Town Hall, and that is where you will find the eating area. The dining area has tents and tables and chairs where diners can enjoy their meals.

The food stalls and the eating area are separate places, so you have to pay in cash when you order from the stalls and they will give you a priority number. This number will help you track your order in the queue.

Once you get your number, you can head to the Liloan town hall where you will find the tables and chairs for eating. The food stalls and the dining area are just a walking distance apart. The food stall vendors will deliver your food while you sit there and wait for your orders to be personally delivered by them.

After enjoying a late lunch, we set out on our motorcycle. On the way to the parking area, I noticed slices of papaya and other fruits, but it was the wrapped tamarind candy that really caught my eye.

It was being sold for just 10 pesos and brought back nostalgic memories of my aunt's homemade tamarind candy, which I loved as a child. I couldn't resist buying some to satisfy my craving.

After eating at the parking area, we continued on our journey to Cebu City, which was about 30 minutes away from Liloan where we had stopped for lunch.

Hope you all have an amazing day ahead. Ciao! ☺︎♡
