Today after church, my friends and I visited a restaurant called Pepper Lunch at KL East Mall to have lunch. This a Japanese "fast-steak" restaurant franchise popular in the Japan.

After looking at their menu, I decided to order the BBQ beef and sausage set. This Set contains 2 pieces of sausage, some beef, corn, long bean, smashed potatoes and one bowl of rice. The BBQ beef and sausage set cost RM33.06 per set after including the 16% service tax.

When the meal is served, all the ingredients are served on a hot metal plate except for the rice.

The restaurant is known for serving its food like this due to its history. When Pepper Lunch was created in 1994 by chef and inventor Kunio Ichinose, who wanted to serve quality fast food without hiring a chef. He devised a method using hot metal plates that are heated to 500 °F (260 °C) by an electromagnetic cooker. The raw meat with vegetables is then placed on the plates, where they cook in front of the customer. The meat can be eaten rare or well done, depending on the customer's preference. The meal is then mixed with a choice of either the special honey brown sauce (Amakuchi) or garlic soy sauce (Karakuchi)

Overall, the meal is great for me. It is a pleasant experience for me as I like food served on hot metal plates. I highly recommend this place if you like to eat beef streak or food served on a hot metal plate.
