Sakawa
The Buildup
My girlfriend and I have always wanted to eat sisig again for quite some time now and fortunately, after two months of waiting, we finally got the opportunity to eat sisig at a fairly new restaurant x milk tea shop in our local area.
Background
Sakawa is actually the name of the restaurant, but inside the restaurant is a milk tea shop named Black Sheep Tea owned by a different owner. My sister told me that both stores were founded by a group of friends from the same high school she went to years back. So in short, both the stores are owned by mag-barkadas or a group of friends formed back in high school.
Walking to the restaurant, we were so ecstatic as we would finally eat sisig again. The place was super spacious and we were the first people there because it was just 10 A.M and they just finished prepping the food.
The only food I've heard from people was the sisig, but I did not know they had a plethora of other food available on their menu on a fairly reasonable price range. Foods were available for individual servings, and for groups alike.
Menu Prices
A separate menu was also given to us by the staff which was specifically for their milk teas which range from 70 pesos or $1.39 up to 120 pesos or $2.38.
After some time, we finally ordered our sisigs. I ordered the pork sisig which cost 109 pesos or $2.17 while my girlfriend ordered the chicken sisig as her religion forbids her to eat pork; it costed the same as pork one.
Eating experience
The sisig was served in a small wok-like pan atop a wide wooden plank. The rice was topped off with some fried garlic which gave it a bit of a crunch. The sisig itself was pretty average, the beautifully cooked pork chunks were not seasoned enough for both me and my girlfriend that the creaminess from the egg and the acidity from the lime almost overpowered the taste of the dish.
This, however, was saved by the milk teas we ordered as they tasted great. I ordered the regular Oreo Overload which cost 110 pesos or $2.19 while my girlfriend ordered the Strawberry Cream Cheese which cost 95 pesos or $1.89.
The overall experience we had while we were eating there was positive. And the real star of that meal was definitely the milk teas which was very sweet and filled with much flavor and crunch from the Oreo crumbs.
Location
Sakawa and Black Sheep Tea can be located at Barangay 1 in San Francisco, Agusan del Sur.

Ka cute anang Kalha! 😋
It really is!!
Ahhh that's why the resto is called sakawa because the foods are served on "Kawa"? 😀
I think so! I never really thought about it, but that's the most likely reason!!
