Cachitos Venezolanos

Hello, I want to prepare a recipe that we usually eat for breakfast, it is a typical Venezuelan recipe and I want to show you, it is like bread with ham.

First we need 2 cups of wheat flour, to which we are going to add 1/4 cup of sugar, 1 tablespoon of salt, yeast. I prepared my yeast mixture in half a cup of warm water with sugar and let it rest for 5 minutes, then I added it to the mixture. 50 grams of butter and half a cup of warm milk, which we will add little by little to prevent the mixture from being watery and an egg. We are going to tame all of this.

Hola quiero preparar una receta que solemos comer en el desayuno, es una receta típica venezolana y quiero mostrarles, es como un pan con jamón.

Primero necesitamos 2 tazas de harina de trigo, a la cual le vamos a añadir 1/4 de taza de azúcar, 1 cucharada de sal, levadura. Yo preparé mi mezcla de levadura en media taza de agua tibia con azúcar y dejé reposar 5 min después la añadí a la mezcla. 50 gramos de mantequilla y media taza de leche tibia, que iremos agregando poco a poco para evitar que la mezcla quedé aguada y un huevo. Todo esto lo vamos a ir amansando.

For greater comfort, we are going to knead this on the counter for a while and take it to rest in a dark place such as the microwave or oven for at least 30 minutes.

Para mayor comodidad esto lo vamos a amasar en el mesón por un rato y lo llevamos a reposar en un lugar oscuro como el microondas o el hornos por mínimo 30 minutos.

Once the time has elapsed, we proceed to divide the dough in two for greater comfort and use the roller to stretch the dough, we stretch it forming a circle and with a thickness of approximately 1mm.

Una vez transcurrido el tiempo, procedemos a dividir la masa en dos para mayor comodidad y utilizamos el rodillo para estirar la masa, la estiramos formando un círculo y con un grosos de aproximadamente 1mm.

Now we are going to cut the dough, first we cut it into 4 and then we divide it into 4 more, giving them a total of 8 triangles as shown in the image. And now we must fill them with ham, for this we cut the ham into cubes.

Ahora vamos a cortar la masa, primero cortamos en 4 y después esto mismo lo dividimos en 4 más, dándolos un total de 8 triángulos cómo se muestra en la imagen. Y ahora debemos rellenarlos con jamón, para esto cortamos el jamón en cubos.

Now what we are going to do from the widest part we are going to roll it until it is completely closed.

Ahora lo que vamos hacer desde la parte más ancha vamos a enrollarlo hasta que este completamente cerrado.

Once we have all ready, we are going to use the yolk of an egg to varnish over our breads, we place it in our trays with a small separations.

Una vez tengamos todos listos, vamos a utilizar la yema de un huevo para barnizar por encima de nuestros panes, lo colocamos en nuestras bandejas con una pequeña separaciones.

Es un platillo muy rico me recuerda a cuando tenía 5 años me encantaban, pero con el tiempo preferí comprar los saladitos porque con un solo cachito quedaba con hambre XD y así los cachitos son recuerdos para mi paladar 😋 mucho éxito con tu publicación 😁
