Guindulman's First Food Park Finally Opens!

foodpark.png

Finally! Our town's first food park had opened its doors to the public! I thought Guindulman has residents who are into dining at restaurants as I can see it on the current eateries and cafeterias but why it took so long before a food park opened, I don't know.

Anyway, that's all in the past as the first food park finally had its opening last night and we went to support our local kababayan!

There were still only a few stalls but the best thing is that it's super near to where we lived before and it's along the highway and it also has access to the seawall behind. They have lots of tables spread throughout the entire grounds, this used to be a residential property and I remember back when I was still young, we used to play here.

More tables and chairs were available at the beach area so customers could listen to the waves while dining. They have several series of lights that illuminate the entire place.

Our companions coming here were the closest young people in the church and my family. We also spotted a lot of friends dining in. We also bumped into Pastor Armar, our former church youth pastor together with his family and church members.

Matti was sleepy at that time but didn't mind. He loved to go to the beach area together with his Kuya ZM who came with us for dinner.

As mentioned, there were only a few stalls right at the moment. There's one offering chaofan rice bowls, there's Mamang Liza food hub offering barbecue stuff, there's also a spot for buying hard drinks and liquor, there's a stall offering sizzling plates, and the first stall offers Mexican-Filipino cuisine.

Dreamers also was there to offer sweet drinks and milk tea for a very affordable price! I ordered 4 drinks from them and my husband didn't like the iced latte. I also found it very sweet and I couldn't even taste the coffee in it.

Since its opening day, Epicurean Hub has given kakanins for free for their buying customers. I ordered fries, nachos, and quesadilla from them so they allowed us to grab some kakanin from their display.

Here are some of the food we ordered, unfortunately, I wasn't able to take photos of all of the things we got.

French fries, quesadillas, and nachos with meat and cheese were all from Epicurean Hub. My nephew asked for a barbecue so I ordered some hotdogs, chicken leg, and isaw. I ordered chao fan rice bows for James and myself to be shared with Matti.

My parents ordered some sizzling plates when they arrived at the location.

I approve of the nachos and the quesadilla and my husband agreed. We are so happy that we can finally have a place to go whenever we are craving for quesadilla. We will try more options from Epicurean Hub in the future.

The bad experience we had was with the rice bowls. Among the food options, we found this one to be affordable at Php 80-95 and it comes with free iced tea. We arrived at 5:30 PM here and ordered right away so it was still very early at that time but we noticed we hadn't received our orders at 7 PM so we decided to follow up only to find other customers also asking for their orders. They had been overloaded with orders that their kitchen staff were unable to manage plus there was a mishandling at front where new customers took the orders supposed to be served to the first customers.

We ended up eating our chao fan at past 8 PM. I totally understand they were not able to anticipate the number of customers and so they ended up not accepting new orders for a couple of hours. We had to stay at the stall just so to make sure we could get our orders as soon as possible.

Anyway, the food park management invited some who came to play and sing songs for the customers. They played relaxing songs and so it entertained us until past nine in the evening.

We were not planning to go home yet but people were smoking and we were concerned about my little one. We decided to go instead.

Here are some of the shots of Zen who serenaded us with husky voice and really cool guitar skills.

After Zen was the main performer of the night, Jam 403 who serenaded us with wonderful music. Their keyboardist, Brandon was a Tawag ng Tanghalan contestant and he sings wonderfully! I became an instant fan that night!

Despite the food issue, it was a great night just listening to songs and enjoying the company of friends and family. I am happy that we finally have a food park and hopefully, more stalls will open soon, and that they will be able to innovate more, offer more options, and serve the Guindulmanons with good food and music!

Nice. I !LUV these food parks, especially the ones with music. I totally understand how it was for the kitchen staff to be overwhelmed and the other side, which is the customers waiting for hours to get served. 😎

junebride, juanvegetarian sent you LUV. 🙂 (1/1) tools | trade | connect | wiki | daily

thanks.. i love food and music too! I forgot to mention that they were very sorry about it and asked for forgiveness for the delay

Welcome. This was a lesson for us when we first opened our food business years ago. Opening day on a busy location needed to have extra staff. Have a nice day!

Good for you! It's great to have a place nearby where you can eat some of your favorite dishes. It's good that the place is crowded; it means people were eager to have it open. Soon with more Stalls, there will be less chaos. Cheers! 😁

yes dear.. it is indeed nice to have some place to go whenever cravings come in!

Ohooo, so it's located to a good spot ha. Baka gabi gabi kami jan ng mama if samin yan, uwu. And the foods, oh my. They all look yum yum. There's a lot na pagpipilian din, which is really awesome. Dadalihin lang talaga ang pocket mo kapag ganito, lol
