Hello hivers and food lovers! How are you? I hope you had made good snacks, dishes and desserts very well. I am very excited to read blogs here because I may know something in which ingredients are available in my place then I'm gonna make mine. For today I had lots of fried fish and it's been 2 days straight eating fried fish with soy sauce so today I'm thinking of making something new.
These are the ingredients in making this fried fish with coconut milk recipe.
-Fried fish
-onion
-garlic
-coconut milk
-onion leaves
-ginger
-tomatoes
-vinegar
-soy sauce
-oil
-magic sarap
I slice all the spices and get ready the pan so let's start cooking! Slicing spices could be more artistic if I'm going to design it but here everyone is hungry that's why it's a chop chop too fast.
I fry all the spices first the garlic, then onion, then the ginger and lastly the tomatoes. Making sure it was really sauteed so it can generate a very aromatic smell.
Just taking a little picture here while cooking and I realize I had a messy hair today hahaha. I'm not really the one cooking here it's me and my husband.
Then I let my husband continue the cooking. He added the salt, magic sarap, a little soy sauce and vinegar. And of course the coconut milk. He's good at the taste. I'm fine with anything but he is very keen on the taste of the food.
Then add the fried fish. The fish was fried this morning.Mix it well and making sure every fish is coated with the coconut oil.
Last,it's not really necessary but my husband loved adding these green leaves. Adding the onion leaves makes it more having smell that can make you hungry. . It adds flavor and beauty to the dish. Then just let it boil for 2 minutes. Then it's ready to eat!
And here is the final look. It was very beautiful like I was too hungry to start eating. It was so colorful.
We are about to eat because my husband is hungry but I took a picture first hahaha. I'm sorry for a sweaty face. It's just too hot when you cook and I can't open the fan because we use LPG.
For me this was an amazing dish. I never knew this but my husband taught me about this last October 2024 when he got home and cook these and he said his classmate who was an Ilocano taught him this recipe and he found out it was really good. Starting that day we don't eat boring fried fishes anymore because we had found out new recipe.
We always have fish here in the island. We don't buy a lot of fish because our neighbors are fishermen and they gave the fish freely to us.
That's all for today foodie lovers. I really like recipes with coconut milk. I'm pretty sure you have some recipes with coconut milk too. I would love to know it. Thank you for reading my blog until here. See you next time.

Gosh, that looks really good. Mama used to make this too but with camias naman 🤤🤤. You'll eat a lot of rice if this was in the table. ✨
Camias? Is that the sour fruit?
Yep, yep, as in kalamias hehe. The dried one hehe
I see. I always saw it a lot of people made sinigang. Or any sour soup or sour dishes. Hahaha I'm not used to sour but green mango indeed hahaha
Oh, but you already try it ba? Sarap din yon sa ginataang tulingan uwu
That looks delicious! Speaking of fish, have you ever heard of "kinunot"? It's a fantastic Filipino dish with shredded boneless fish simmered in coconut milk and moringa leaves. You should definitely try it sometime!
Wow thank you so much for giving me another idea. I will try this one. I've been finding recipes nowadays hehehe
