Just want to share with you my lunch today. Today I was in the street trying to fix up something when my stomach start to give me problem so I decided to try this fast food vendor. It a local bar as you can see from the picture. Boli is sold by the road side, so you will hardly seen a furnished place this particular business. Once you see where to sit and eat it okay for them she has really try by covering the place that no one sees you while eating but for some seller you will sit in the open place and eat or you buy take away. So don't mind the looks let's focus on the delicious meal.

This particular food is call "bole or boli" it is the common name you will hear from the street. The name bole or boli is originally Yoruba way of calling roasted plantain because it is the common snack that Yoruba women love to sell on the street. This is business was brought down to the south south by one Yoruba woman which has become the best business for almost young and old women of the state today. Because of this bole is found everywhere in the street..

This boli is either unripe or ripe plantain, yam now they have added potatoes to it. And mackerel fish to enjoy it very well you have to add fish if you really want to enjoy your boli. The sauce is made with local palm oil with much pepper because originally the Yoruba love pepper and the pepper is so used to their system unlike us here in the south we learning to adapt to it because this is what make the boli, boli. Secondly we are now mixed with much of Yoruba around and we are on our daily basis bringing in their tradition, delicacy to our ceremony so we have to adapt to the pepper.
