Pasta al Horno con Salsa de Calabaza y Pollo / Baked Pasta with Pumpkin Sauce and Chicken

Hola a todos en la comunidad, como se encuentran? Hoy quiero traerles esta receta de pasta al horno, con una salsa a base de calabaza o auyama, como le llamamos en mi pais, complementado con pollo, tocineta y queso mozzarella, lo que ademas de hacerlo muy sencillo de preparar, es muy sabroso.

Para este receta utilicé espaguetis, aunque tengo que decir que me hubiera gustado mas utilizar cualquier tipo de pasta corta, asi mismo, me guarde un poquito de salsa para otra ocasión, pero la pasta de por si me quede un poquito seca, por lo que lo ideal hubiera sido utilizarla toda, aunque eso también es acorde al gusto de cada quien.

For this recipe I used spaghetti, although I have to say that I would have liked to use any type of short pasta, also, I saved a little sauce for another occasion, but the pasta itself was a little dry, so The ideal would have been to use it all, although that is also according to each person's taste.

Ingredientes / Ingredients:

  • Pasta, preferiblemente corta / Pasta, preferably short
  • 300 gr de Calabaza / 300 gr of Pumpkin
  • 2 Pimentones Rojos / 2 Red Peppers
  • 200 ml de Caldo de Pollo / 200 ml of Chicken Broth
  • 200 gr de Pechuga de Pollo / 200 gr of Chicken Breast
  • Crema de Leche / Milk Cream
  • 100 gr de Queso Mozzarella / 100 gr of Mozzarella Cheese
  • 1 Cebolla Pequeño / 1 Small Onion
  • 5 Dientes de Ajo / 5 Garlic Cloves
  • Queso Parmesano, al gusto / Parmesan Cheese, to taste
  • Mantequilla / Butter
  • Ajo en Polvo y Paprika / Garlic Powder and Paprika
  • Sal y Pimienta, al gusto / Salt and Pepper, to taste

Preparación / Preparation:

1- Empezaremos preparando la salsa base para nuestra pasta / We will start by preparing the base sauce for our pasta.

Como el precio de la auyama era muy bueno, terminamos comprando una completa, por lo que si mi siguiente receta tambien se basa en esta fruta, no se sorprenda, jajaja.

Since the price of pumpkin was very good, we ended up buying a whole one, so if my next recipe is also based on this fruit, don't be surprised, jajaja.

Luego de cortar unos 300 gr de la auyama, vamos a limpiarla, pelarla y cortarla en cubitos pequeños.

After cutting about 300 g of the pumpkin, we are going to clean it, peel it and cut it into small cubes.

Luego vamos a tatemar los pimentones rojos a fuego directo, yo lo hago directamente con la estufa de la cocina, hasta que la piel tome un color completamente negro, con lo cual sera muy facil quitarle la piel.

Then we are going to roast the red peppers over direct heat, I do it directly with the kitchen stove, until the skin turns completely black, which will make it very easy to remove the skin.

Le quitamos las semillas y la piel al pimentón, y luego vamos a cortarlo en trozos de mediano tamaño, esperando llevar todo al sartén en unos minutos.

We remove the seeds and skin from the paprika, and then we are going to cut it into medium-sized pieces, hoping to put everything in the pan in a few minutes.

Asi mismo, vamos a cortar la cebolla y el ajo en cuadritos pequeños, y en un sarten con una cucharada de mantequilla, vamos a sofreir todos los vegetales hasta que tomen un color doradito.

Likewise, we are going to cut the onion and garlic into small squares, and in a frying pan with a tablespoon of butter, we are going to fry all the vegetables until they turn golden brown.

Luego de esto, agregaremos el caldo de pollo, cocinando todo por unos 20 a 30 minutos, esperando a que la auyama este bien suave.

After this, we will add the chicken broth, cooking everything for about 20 to 30 minutes, waiting for the pumpkin to be very soft.

Llevaremos todo a la licuadora, hasta que consigamos una mezcla cremosa y homogenea, la llevaremos nuevamente al sartén y cocinaremos por otros 20 minutos a fuego bajo junto con la crema de leche, para intensificar los sabores.

We will put everything in the blender, until we get a creamy and homogeneous mixture, we will put it back in the pan and cook for another 20 minutes over low heat along with the heavy cream, to intensify the flavors.

Ya con la salsa lista, cocinaremos la pasta en agua hasta que este listo, asi mismo, el pollo y la tocineta hasta que ambos esten doraditos y sabrosos.

Once the sauce is ready, we will cook the pasta in water until it is ready, as well as the chicken and bacon until both are golden brown and tasty.

2- Ya con todos los ingredientes listo, vamos a llevarlos al horno / With all the ingredients ready, let's put them in the oven.

En un molde para horno lo suficientemente grande, vamos a colocarle una buena base de salsa, para evitar de que se nos queme todo.

In a large enough baking dish, we are going to place a good base of sauce, to prevent everything from burning.

Luego iremos colocando capaz de pasta, salsa, pollo, tocineta y queso hasta llenar completamente el molde.

Then we will place the capacity of pasta, sauce, chicken, bacon and cheese until the mold is completely filled.

Ya la ultima capa sera de queso mozzarella, pudiendo tambien colocarle el restante del queso parmesano, para que al momento de llevarlo al horno, estos se gratinen.

The last layer will be mozzarella cheese, and you can also add the rest of the parmesan cheese, so that when you put it in the oven, they are gratin.

Por problemas con la luz, no pude prender la parte superior del horno para gratinar, pero al menos el queso quedo bien derretido, por lo que este es mas que suficiente, jajaja.

Due to problems with the light, I couldn't turn on the top of the oven to grill, but at least the cheese was well melted, so this is more than enough, jajaja.

También debemos esperar unos minutos a que se enfrie y asiente un poco la pasta, para que no la desarmemos al momento de servir.

We must also wait a few minutes for the pasta to cool and settle a little, so that we do not disassemble it when serving.

Puedes acompañarlo con lo que quieras, pero no me quise complicar demasiado y con un pan con parmesano y oregano quedo mas que delicioso.
