BORMIO is another tourist destination with many good restaurants. Because it is a tourist destination, people are interested in wanting to choose good places. And so do I. at lunch I want to eat delicious food with a good atmosphere. So I was looking for a nearby restaurant in BORMIO and came across this restaurant. Once we had chosen a restaurant is AL FILO', we drove to this restaurant.
We watch according to GPS. Before finding a parking space, we had to turn around several times. When we got there, we parked the car and walked into the restaurant. This shop is not next to the main road and you have to walk further. But it's not very far. When we got to the restaurant, we walked into the basement. The appearance of the shop is a hall with retro stones that look good. After a while the receptionist took us to our seats. Then he had us scan the QA code to choose to see the food menu. This restaurant has a wide variety of food to choose from. In the food menu that we scan, it will tell you the ingredients of the food. And there is a notice for people with food allergies, which is considered very good.
AL FILO' is a restaurant in Bormio, built from an old barn and stables with a stone cellar, dating from around 1600. While looking at the menu, I also looked at the atmosphere around me. Now it's lunch time and there are a lot of customers. I am not comfortable taking pictures of surroundings where there are many people. So I could just sit and watch.
Only the area of my dining room table was photographed. After a while, the staff came to pick up the menus we ordered. Before the food is served the waiter brought bread. Just the appearance of the different types of bread looks delicious. I really like it.
- "Sciatt" for the appetizer that we order, served on a bed of cabbage and salad is a typical Valtellina specialty, a mellow, crisp pancake with the soft, creamy casera cheese inside, just like the original. Served with salad vegetables. The name of the local people is called toad because the shape and characteristics of the food are similar to this animal.
- "Soft tagliolini" made with bread dough, Valtellina carbonara, bresaola powder and pesteda. Homemade tagliolini made from bread dough creamed with carbonara, flour and milk, cream and egg yolks. Replacing the bacon with bresaola in two steps, both fresh and dry, intensifies the flavor. Added with casera cheese and Darmesan. Finished off with local aromatic salt, including pepper, garlic, thyme, and red wine.
- "My pizzoccheri" is one of the most traditional dishes of Valtellina cuisine, made strictly by hand using buckwheat flour. It has an amber color and spots all over it because it is cooked with vegetables and potatoes. Cooked with regular casera cheese. Followed by garlic flavored butter.
And this is my entire meal today. There was no dessert at the end because we didn't have time. I have to hurry and go do something else. This meal is another special meal. Eating local food was amazing and delicious, really worth it. Thanks for following, hope you all like my post. Have a nice day.
