Hello food lovers!!!!!
What's up guys?I hope you are all doing great day.
And for today's blog ,I will be sharing a sweet potato recipe for snacks which we usually prepared in the province.
I was born poor ,my parents work hard for us ,they are working so hard to feed their 9 children. My parents are both farmer and live in a mountainous area.
Crops is our alternative food if we don'nt have rice and viand. We may live simple and poor and thanks God we survive.
One of the crops we usually had in iur table before is the sweet potato from my parents garden. There are some recipes of it and I will be sharing you one of the most recipe I loved.
Ingredients
- Sweet potato
-sugar
-salt
-coconut milk
Procedure
First ,wash the sweet potato with water then peel it.Much better to use a peeler but we don't have it so I used a small knife.
After peeling ,wash it with clean water.
Then prepare the coconut milk,I grated a acoconut since we don't have the ready to used coconut milk and there I saw a "buwa"I dont know how to call this in english but we called it buwa.Everytime my father harvested our little coconut farm ,we are gathering this buwa coz we love the taste of it hahaha.
In a clean pot ,put the clean sweet potato then add the coconut milk anyway I used 2 cups of it and add the 4tablespoon of sugar and a pinch of salt.
Then put it in a medium fire and cook it for about 30minutes.We don't have gas for now so I am using the firewood.
And heres the finish product ,lets it!!!!
So yummy ,the sweet and a creamy was blended with the little salt.
And that's it for today ,thanks for spending your time.I hope you learned something from my easy and simple snacks recipe.
Thank you and have a great day!
