Hola queridos amigos, lo prometido es deuda. En mi post anterior en esta comunidad les dije que subiria la receta de como preparar un arequipe casero. Y pues esta es mi versión, muy sencilla y deliciosa. Ideal para para todos.

Hello dear friends, the promise is due. In my previous post in this community I told them that I would upload the recipe for how to prepare a homemade arequipe. And well this is my version, very simple and delicious. Ideal for everyone.

INGREDIENTES:

1 taza de papelon (panela) rallado.
1 pizca de sal.
1 cucharada de mantequilla.
1 taza de leche espesa.

INGREDIENTES:
1 cup of papelon (panela) grated.
1 pinch of salt.
1 tablespoon butter.
1 cup of thick milk.

En una olla colocamos la panela rallada, la llevamos al fuego y removemos constantemente hasta que esté completamente derretida.

In a pot we place the grated panela, we take it to the fire and stir constantly until it is completely melted.

Una vez derretido el papelón o la panela agregamos un chorrito de agua y la cucharada de mantequilla, y vamos revolviendo hasta que esta se integren bien.

Once the papelón or panela has melted, add a splash of water and a tablespoon of butter, and we stir until it is well integrated.

En este punto agregamos la pizca de sal y la leche poco a poco mientras mezclamos. Es importante no dejar de revolver la mezcla hasta que esta empiece a espesar ya que puede pegarse al fondo de la olla. Cuando ya obtenga un espesor considerable apagamos el fuego y seguimos revolviendo de 1 a 2 minutos mas.

At this point we add the pinch of salt and milk little by little while mixing. It is important not to stop stirring the mixture until it begins to thicken as it can stick to the bottom of the pot. When you get a considerable thickness we turn off the heat and continue stirring for 1 to 2 more minutes.

Ya lista nuestra mezcla, la pasamos a un frasco de vidrio y dejamos reposar hasta que este a temperatura ambiente.

Our mixture is ready, we transfer it to a glass jar and let it rest until it is at room temperature.

Llevamos a la nevera hasta que se enfrie bien y notaremos que nuestro arequipe o dulce de leche tendra su consistencia característica y ya estará listo para disfrutarse.

We put it in the fridge until it cools well and we will notice that our arequipe or caramel sauce will have its characteristic consistency and it will be ready to be enjoyed.

Esta receta es muy deliciosa y puede ser un gran acompañamiento para galletas, bombones, pan o lo que usted prefiera. En mi caso lo deguste con galletas de mantequilla de las cuales les dejare la receta mas abajo.

This recipe is very delicious and can be a great accompaniment to cookies, chocolates, bread or whatever you prefer. In my case I tasted it with butter cookies of which I will leave the recipe below.
