Chefday | Big Mac Taco

Hello friends, I realized that I haven't shared a recipe for a long time. So today I felt eager to cook something and I wanted to try a recipe that I constantly see on TikTok and Instagram. Probably many of you have seen this before, but I wanted you to see it from me. The name of our recipe: Big Mac Taco. Maybe this recipe is not very healthy, but I still think it is necessary to make such breaks from time to time. My husband and I liked it very much, and if you follow the recipe completely, you will probably like it too. Let's start with the ingredients.

Ingredients (for 2 tacos)

  • 250 g minced meat
  • ketchup
  • cheese
  • mayonnaise
  • pickles
  • olive oil
  • salt
  • onion
  • lettuce

Our ingredients are quite simple, there is nothing difficult in making it, you just need to be careful while cooking and I will share the tricks about it with you in this post.

First of all, let's start with preparing the sauce. We get a delicious mixture by mixing ketchup, mayonnaise, pickles, onion and pickle juice. While preparing the sauce, make sure to cut the pickles and onions into small cubes. Then put the ketchup in a bowl, a little more than mayonnaise. Finally, add 1 tablespoon of pickle juice and mix all the ingredients well in the bowl and your sauce is ready.

It is very good to use only lettuce, you can add tomato if you want, but I didn't prefer it. chop the lettuce finely.

After preparing the ingredients we will use in the taco, we can now move on to making the taco. You can use the ready-made lavash you buy from the market, after taking 125 g of minced meat out of the package, knead it in your hands by adding a little salt and make it soft. Then spread it on the taco with the palm of your hand so that there are no gaps. Make sure that there are no gaps because the meat will shrink even more when cooked, you don't want your meat to remain small in the taco.

Before preparing the taco, preheat your pan over high heat and when the taco is ready to cook, add a small amount of olive oil to the pan. Then place your taco so that the meat side touches the pan and continue cooking over high heat.

You will notice that your lavash shrinks as the taco cooks. Use a spoon or your hand to turn the taco left and right in the pan to prevent it from sticking.




After cooking for 3-5 minutes, when you notice that the meat is completely cooked, set your pan to the lowest heat and turn the taco over. At this stage, add the cheese and keep the lid closed for 1-2 minutes and once the cheese is melted, you can take it to a serving plate to prepare the filling.

After putting the taco on the plate, first add the lettuce and then the sauce we prepared. After waiting for 1-2 minutes, it will have a great consistency to eat.
