Hello everyone,
Today I am going to post about the most commonly made Indian food item that is made throughout India everyday.
Roti is a kind of Indian bread that is eaten with everything that can be made, be it be vegetables, chicken, pulses even sweet dishes. It’s made out of pure wheat flour.
Roti is also known as Chapati and phulka in regional languages across India.
First of all a dough is made of pure wheat flour and small potions of it is rolled according to the size of roti as seen in the first photograph.
Then with a help of a tool called Velan, it is made round and thin.
It’s cooked on a pan first for some time. After that it is directly kept on the flame till it bursts like a balloon. The very first photograph depicts that stage.
One thing that is required to keep in mind is that it needs to be cooked on both sides evenly. In the above photograph, we can see the process of making a roti round.
It needs to be mixed with dry flour to make it non sticky.
It’s not easy to make chapatis as it requires a lot of practice.
The 🫓 rotis are now ready.
Have it with your favourite vegetable or anything you like.
