🤠Today, I decided to try frozen fish chips just to see what frozen food tastes like. I'm also curious about cooking with frozen stuff because fresh fish is pretty expensive here. Frozen fish chips seem like a more affordable option for me. They're easy to find and last longer. Cooking frozen food is a new thing for me, but I like that it's convenient. I'm excited to explore different ways of making meals with frozen ingredients. It's a practical choice for someone like me who's always on the go. I think trying these frozen fish chips will not only be a simple and tasty experience but also a way to make my meals more budget-friendly. So, I'll be pan-frying the frozen fish chips and eating them together with mashed potatoes. Let's see how it goes!

  • Frozen fish chips
  • Cooking oil (vegetable oil or canola oil)

Instructions:

  1. Thaw the Fish Chips (Optional):

    • Thaw the frozen fish chips for a few minutes to reduce cooking time and ensure even cooking. Pat them dry with paper towels.
  2. Preheat the Pan:

    • Place a non-stick frying pan or skillet on the stove over medium heat.
  3. Use Minimal Oil:

    • Add a small amount of cooking oil to the pan. You only need enough to coat the bottom of the pan and prevent sticking.
  4. Pan-Fry the Fish Chips:

    • Carefully place the fish chips in the pan, arranging them in a single layer. Cook for 3-5 minutes on each side or until they are golden brown and cooked through.
  5. Serve Immediately:

    • Transfer the pan-fried fish chips to a plate and serve them immediately while they are hot and crispy.

By following this simple method, you'll have delicious pan-fried fish chips with a crispy exterior and tender interior. Serve them with your favorite dipping sauce or side dishes. Enjoy your meal!
