Shut up and eat! #3 - Turnips with chicken giblets

I'd never cook giblets before so this was a debut. It was not hard and I liked the result. Ultimately, it's about cooking a tasty meal using cheap meat and simple ingredients.

🇵🇹 Nunca tinha cozinhado miúdos, portanto foi uma estreia. Não foi difícil e gostei do resultado. No fundo, trata-se de preparar uma refeição saborosa com carne barata e ingredientes simples.


Ingredients / Ingredientes:

2 turnips2 nabos
400g of chicken giblets400g de miúdos de frango
1 onion1 cebola
wheat flourfarinha de trigo
parsleysalsa
20dl of white wine20dl de vinho branco
meat brothcaldo de carne
black pepperpimenta preta
nutmegnoz moscada
olive oilazeite
saltsal

1 - Sauté chopped onion in olive oil, with parsley and bit of nutmeg.

1 - Refogar a cebola em azeite, com salsa e um pouco de noz moscada.

2 - Add the giblets and let cook for 10 minutes.

2 - Juntar os miúdos e deixar cozinhar durante 10 minutos.

3 - Add the flour, the wine and the meat broth (I have frozen broth because I'm that dedicated! 🙃).

Adicionar a farinha, o vinho e o caldo de carne. (Eu sou tão dedicado que tenho caldo congelado! 🙃)

4 - When it starts to boil, add the turnip and season with salt and black pepper.

4 - Quando começar a ferver, juntar o nabo e temperar com sal e pimenta preta.

5 - Optional: Serve with rice and chopped parsley.

5 - Opcional: Servir com arroz e salsa picada.
