I hope we're all doing just fine.
I would like to share our dinner "Crunchy Fried Chicken", one of our favorites. We tried to add a twist into our plain fried chicken by adding sweet sauce.
Here's the Ingredients needed:
3/4 Cup | Water |
*Additional ingredients for breading,
Let's Start Cooking!
Marinade chicken with calamansi/lemon juice, salt and pepper. Set aside for 15 minutes.
Mix all dry ingredients for breading, seperate 3/4 Cup and set aside 1 1/4 Cup of breading mix for coating.
Add 3/4 cups of breading mix to 3/4 cups of water and mix until no lumps.
Pour the breading mix with water to the marinated chicken.
Soak the chicken into the mixture.
Put the remaining breading mix to a container with lid, pick chicken pieces one by one and toss inside the container. Cover it and shake until all pieces are coated with the breading mix.
Make sure that the oil is hot before frying, when it turns golden brown it's a sign that it's cooked. Fry them in medium fire
Drain excess oil to prolong crispiness.
Simple yet delicious and crunchy fried chicken.
Fried Chicken in Sweet Sauce
To prepare sweet sauce, just mix all ingredients. Simmer over medium heat while continuous stirring. Do this until sauce is reduced and thick. Toss in half of the fried chicken and stir until all are covered with sauce.
This is our two flavored crunchy fried chicken. We eat chicken with steam rice 'cause here in Philippines each meal aren't complete without rice specially during lunch and dinner.
