Hello Hiver-Friends ❤️🐝✨
As promised is a debt, today I bring you the recipe that I had promised in the previous post. This recipe is one of my favorites 😍
A few days ago I tried it from some countrymen from Venezuela, here in Tenerife. Her undertaking is called "How in my land". Her user on her Instagram is @comoenmitierratf. I mean, literally she captured the flavors of Chinese rice and sweet and sour chicken that we used to eat at any Chinese restaurant in Venezuela and I loved it.
As I did not want to be left with the desire to continue trying this dish, here I bring you the recipe. I hope you like this recipe as much as I do, and here I share it with you. It is super easy and inexpensive to prepare.
Receta 1 ➡️ Salsa Agridulce // Recipe 1 ➡️ Sweet and Sour Sauce
✓ 4 cucharadas de vinagre de arroz o vinagre blanco.
✓ 4 cucharadas de azúcar blanco.
✓ 1 cucharada de salsa de tomate (ketchup).
✓Una pizca de sal.
The juice of an orange. 4 tablespoons of rice vinegar or white vinegar. 4 tablespoons of white sugar. 1 tablespoon of tomato sauce (ketchup). A pinch of salt.
Place in a hot skillet over medium heat; rice vinegar, or failing that, white vinegar, sugar, a teaspoon of ketchup, a pinch of salt and orange juice. Mix well with a wooden spoon or a plastic or silicone hand whisk.
Bring the sauce to a simmer. Once well mixed, turn up the heat until the sauce comes to a boil. Lower the heat when the sauce starts to boil, and simmer for 3 minutes. You can add a little more ketchup if you have a light red color and you want it more intense.
Always stirring with the spoon or whisk, so that the sauce does not thicken too much. Remove the sauce from the heat when it has thickened to your liking and, when it cools, it will thicken a little more. Let it cool to room temperature and then store in a preferably glass container. This sauce can only last a week in your fridge, so make the most of it.
Receta 2 ➡️ Pollo // Recipe 2 ➡️ Chicken
✓ 7 u 8 cucharadas de harina de trigo.
✓ 1 cucharadita de jengibre molido.
✓ 1 pizca de pimienta.
✓ 1 cucharada de salsa de soja.
✓ ½ taza de agua.
✓ Sal al gusto.
✓ Aceite vegetal para freír.
✓ Ajo en polvo.
1 chicken breast. 7 u 8 tablespoons of wheat flour. 1 teaspoon ground ginger. 1 pinch of pepper 1 tablespoon of soy sauce. ½ cup of water. Salt to taste. Vegetable oil for frying. Garlic powder
Chop the chicken breast into medium squares. Add the salt and soy sauce. Let it marinate for a while while you prepare the batter.
For the batter, you must mix the flour with the pepper and ground ginger. Then the water is incorporated and it is beaten very well until there are no lumps in the mixture. Coat the chicken pieces one by one. It should be like a pancake mix but very thick.
- In a bowl with hot oil, gradually place the battered pieces of chicken and let them fry until they get a golden honey color. Let them drain on a container with napkins to absorb the excess oil.
When all your chicken pieces are ready, proceed to bathe them on top with the sweet and sour sauce and that's it. To eat!

La salsa agridulce se usa en muchas cocinas europeas (yo puedo hablar de la italiana) y le da un gusto muy particular a las comidas, especialmente a la carne.
