Chana Butter Masala
It originated from the state of Punjab in India and is now a staple in Indian homes and restaurants. This protein rich dish is served with jeera rice, roti, chapati, naan or paratha.
Ingredients:-
Chana (chickpeas) - 1 cup boiled
Onion - 5 finely chopped
Tomatoes - 4 pureed
Garlic - 10-12 cloves paste
Ginger - piece paste
Bay leaf - 2
Cinnamon stick - piece
Cumin seeds - 1 tsp
Asafoetida - 1/4 tsp
Ghee - table spoon
Butter - 1 table spoon
Green chilli - 5-6 paste
Curry leaves - 5-6
Red chilli powder - 2 tsp
Coriander powder- 2 tsp
Turmeric powder- 1/2 tsp
Chana masala- 1 tsp
Kasuri methi- 2 tsp
Fresh cream 1 table spoon
Salt 1 tsp
Coriander leaves- finely chopped
For tempering:-
Green chilli- 4 long chopped
Garlic- finely chopped
Method:-
First of all, take 1 cup chana in a big vessel and soak it in enough water for 8 hours or overnight
