Sopa de pollo "aguadito familiar" ESP-ENG

in Foodies Bee Hive3 years ago

It is a great joy to tell you about my family's historical recipe. I will start by telling you that since I can remember my mother used to make us a soup called "aguadito", it is a soup with vegetables, rice and a lot of flavor in its main ingredients, later on when we developed thinking capacity and curiosity, I noticed that this dish was frequently on the table, until as a teenager I asked my mother why she made it so often; and it was a very interesting and shocking moment.

It turns out that my father died when we were very young, my three siblings and I were left in charge of my mother, a great mother who always made everything seem normal. She had a job that paid a salary below normal and the 4 of us were studying in school, she managed to feed us well and the "aguaditos" were the most economical way to nourish our bodies and keep us healthy, I remember that she always used appropriate words to present the dish, I never remember that she gave it to us with sadness, but rather with a lot of enthusiasm that she really transmitted to us.

We ate our special aguadito for years in the most daily way, and it became a family dish that we eat until today, for me eating an aguadito reminds me of happy days and also the progress and overcoming that my mother took us to, today it tastes like maternal love, effort and struggle.

It is not the most elegant dish, nor does it have anything special, but to my palate it has an incalculable flavor.

Every time we do it at home, it's a trip to my childhood, that despite the difficult situation, my mom managed to fill us with laughter and love, because that's how our meals at the table were, full of laughter and jokes between us.
