I have some remaining vegetables from cooking chop suey dish the other day, But today I decided to make sauteed vegetables with any ingredients at hand. I would like to say this is a dry chopsuey version, because they are similar in way of cooking, nevertheless It's an aromatic and tasty meal .
Ingredients
- Beef,300 gm, stroganoff cut
- Oyster sauce, 3 tbsp
- Garlic, minced
- Onion, chopped
- Celery, chopped
- Leek, chopped
- Carrots, julienne cut
- Green beans, chopped diagonally
- Cabbage, shredded
- Cauliflower florets
- Capsicum, any color
Preparations
Steam or blanch the vegetables into a boiling pot of water, starting from the hard to soft vegetable. Carrots, cauliflower, green beans, capsicum and cabbage. Drain and Set aside.
In a preheated large pot, Add oil and saute Garlic, celery and onion until it changes color and becomes aromatic.
Then, add the meat and stir well to combine. Cover the pot and cook until the meat is tender, about 15 - 20 minutes.
Next, add the chopped leeks and mix for a couple of minutes.
Add the oyster sauce and mix well.
Add the drained vegetables into the pot and stir well. Let it cook for a few minutes, 3 - 5 minutes.
Lastly, season with salt and ground black pepper to taste.
Your kitchen would smell great from the garlic, celery, onion and leek when sauteed together.
We always enjoyed our sauteed vegetables, with a little of this and a little of that makes this colorful dish, a delicious and savory family meal.
