Sublime Sunday and Healthy, Delicious, Chicken Alfredo

I'm craving something saucy, cheesy, and healthy.

Reducing bread, pasta, and cake is a logical first step in lowering carb intake. You should be aware that carbohydrates can be found in less obvious places, such as soy milk, almond milk, yogurt, tomato sauce, salad dressing in general, and barbecue sauce. Saucy dishes are usually laden with hidden carbs.

Not so with this dish!

I started with fresh ingredients

Fresh vegetables (I used up my leftover broccoli and cauliflower), shredded mozzarella cheese, grated Parmesan cheese, rotisserie chicken (you may use boiled chicken), Alfredo sauce (with a carb count of 3 grams with zero added sugars), milk, ground black pepper, ground garlic powder, and onion powder.

The broccoli goes in first.

Cut the broccoli into small size flowerets so that it will cook easily.

The cauliflowers on top of the broccoli.

The same is true for the cauliflowers; cut them into small pieces.

Add the diced chicken.

Spread the diced chicken as evenly as possible, covering the broccoli and cauliflower.

Spread the mozzarella cheese on top of the chicken.

Leave a little mozzarella cheese for later.

Now for the Alfredo Sauce

Mix the bottled Alfredo Sauce with milk. Add garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper. Mix thoroughly, then cover the entire dish ith the sauce.

Add Parmesan cheese.

Top it with more mozzarella cheese and red pepper flakes.

It is now ready to bake!

Bake the Chicken Alfredo in a preheated oven at 375 degrees Fahrenheit for about 15 to 20 minutes.

Ahh... it is done!
