Hello Beautiful People!.

How are you? I hope you are well. Now the weather has lost its warmth as before. However, unlike many people, I love the autumn season. Besides, I get rid of the sweltering heat of summer weather. When the weather is like this, soups became a must for our dinners. When you drink soup when it's cold, it warms you up.

One of my favorites is lentil soup. I can never say no when served with lots of lemon. Sometimes I don't look for any other food with it, I just drink it and fill my stomach with this soup.

I find this soup very useful because it contains red lentils. There is no one who does not know the benefits of red lentils. However, I will tell you a little about it. It is a legume rich in sodium, potassium, protein, magnesium, vitamin C, iron, calcium, vitamin A, B12, and D. Such a useful soup is exactly what we need in the winter season.

It is also very easy to make, so I definitely want you to try it. Now I will tell you about this delicious soup with the stages of making it.

Ingredients

  • Red Lentils (170-180gr)

  • Carrot (medium size)

  • Onion (large)

  • Potato (medium size)

  • Red Chilli Powder (1 teaspoon)

  • Butter (2 tablespoons)

  • Salt (add according to your taste)

I wash and drain the lentils. Then I grate the potatoes and carrots. Actually, I usually slice thinly, but my father doesn't have a soup grinder. It is much better for me to grate so as not to strain while straining. Then I'm born with onions in cubes. I add half a liter of water to a deep pot and add potatoes, carrots, onions and lentils. I boil it until the ingredients melt and soften.

It is useful to stir it from time to time so that the contents of the pot do not burn. I'm making sure they're dirty by making final checks. I turn off the stove and wait for it to cool for 15 minutes.

Now I can move on to straining the soup. You need to use a small perforated strainer. You can also use a soup grinder at this stage. I will do it manually.

After applying, I mixed the remaining solid ingredients with a spoon until all of them passed through the strainer. Some force is required at this stage. I strained them all until there was no residue.

By the way, have you seen the people watching me with curiosity? 😀

Someone is after the secret of my soup. I caught him red-handed spying on me. When he realizes that he was caught, he doesn't mind, but don't be fooled by him. This bird is a recipe stealer!

Joking aside, my father and I always feed them. We will leave water in front of the mosque and wheat for them to eat. Sometimes they chase each other away when other birds arrive. We add wheat to other windows so they don't do this, but unfortunately they still repel foreign birds. Although this upsets me, I call it the law of nature.

Anyway, where were we? After straining the soup, it will have a dark consistency as in the picture. The reason for this is the potatoes we added to it. They thicken the soup.

If your stance is like this, you are on the right track.

We take the soup back to the stove. Add another glass of water and wait for it to boil. We boil it in this way for 3 minutes.

After boiling, we turn off the stove. Then add butter, salt, red pepper flakes.

Now our soup is ready!

Don't forget to squeeze lemon into the soup before drinking it. Lemon and lentils are inseparable for me. After you try it, you will understand better what I mean.
