After a great deal of work in planting, maintenance and harvesting, we obtain the cobs.
La mazorcas se deben desojar para obtener el maíz.
The cobs must be shelled to obtain the corn.
Se procede a desgranar el maíz, usando un cuchillo, picando con cuidado.
The corn is shelled, using a knife, chopping it carefully.
Con el molino manual, poco a poco se muele para obtener la maza del maíz.
With the manual mill, the corn is ground little by little to obtain the corn mash.
Procedemos a preparar la mezcla, con Sal Azúcar y la leche que se obtiene cuando se muele, mezcla con una paleta hasta que quede uniforme y suave.
We proceed to prepare the mixture, with salt, sugar and the milk obtained when it is ground, mix with a paddle until it is uniform and smooth.
Con el BUDARE bien caliente en el típico fogón a leña, agrega la mezcla y le das forma circular, esperas unos segundo que se forme una corteza dura por debajo para luego poder darle la vuelta, hasta que se termine de cocinar.
With the BUDARE very hot in the typical wood stove, add the mixture and give it a circular shape, wait a few seconds for a hard crust to form underneath and then turn it over until it is finished cooking.
Servimos con mantequilla, queso y un rico cochino frito, para terminar degustando una deliciosa cachapa de Venezuela.
