Who else got hooked by the Korean foods? Maybe some people around the world find them interesting because of the side dishes available, and also how Koreans enjoy eating their foods. There is this particular facial expressions seen in most ASMR or Mukbang videos online.
If you will ever go to the Philippines, you will notice the sudden popularity of Korean Samgyeopsal Restaurants across the country. And we are one of the people who loved it ever since.
We visited a popular Korean restaurant just from a nearby town, and we got lucky that it isn't full of customers yet. First, we looked for a spot where we can enjoy the grilling session and at the same time, has a closer access to the buffet.
We ordered the usual promo of Php 199 ($4) Unlimited Samgyeopsal, and the inclusions were unlimited side dishes, lettuce, drinks, and cheese. It's already a great deal compared to others. When we already notified the cashier about our order, we grabbed the plates, trays, and grilling pan to start our samgyeopsal mukbang.
Aside from the utensils, we also grabbed the marinated meats, side dishes, and other spices that we will need.
When everything was already settled, we sat down and faced the grill pan. The challenge begins as we start flipping the meats, and the aroma triggers our hungry tummies even more. We were cooking different marinated meats, and we start trying the side dishes while waiting for them to be cooked.
After a few minutes of cooking and grilling, it's finally wrapping time. We grabbed the lettuce, put on some meats, and added some side dishes before they went through our tastebuds. It's really satisfying and the flavorful bites continued once every meats are cooked.
Aside from the good food, we started talking about random stories and conversations to make every bite soulful and enjoyable. Nothing beats a good conversation partnered with a good portion of food. And it is always proven!

I have only tried Korean doof a few times, at Incheon airport, and probably Kimchi while living in the Philippines, so I never got hooked on it. I do like the Korean BBQ idea though, and think that it's a great way to dine with friends.
I must say though, that I travelled on Asiana Airlines to Korea, and it was by far one of the best food I have ever had on a flight. Seeing your lettuce with the meat in it brings back memories. I had no idea how to eat a lot of the food that was presented so I asked the passenger next to me if I could observe her and follow 😆
Some people don't actually like this kind of foods. But anyway, we also love Korean BBQ.
