It was a weekend when I decided to have a pedicure at a salon in Colon Street. I badly needed the pedicure since I felt a pain in my big toe. That painful ingrown should be removed 🦶. I brought with me my sister @erikathedrama who also had a manicure 💅. My sister and I went to the salon quite late in the afternoon so we were entertained late also. The pedicure and manicure were done around dinner time and we still have some errands to do. I was craving for Carbonara and remembered that there's a Pizza and Pasta place in a newly opened mall in Colon. So we went there.
It was our first time visiting the Iconique Mall and we were quite amazed by the structure of the mall. We went straight to Buongiorno Pizza Pasta and we were hesitant to go inside since we only saw two customers but we still gave it a try 😁.
THE PLACE
The place is soooo clean. Kudos to the staff 👏 plus you can see the chef cooking your order so you can be assured that the food is clean and fresh.
They have this old type of oven, the concrete one which I only see on TV shows. The place is spacious.
It has a lot of lights which makes the ambiance more refreshing and it has a big television screen that plays acoustic songs from Youtube.
THEIR MENU
The price of their food is so affordable but I didn't like (aesthetically) how the menu was placed on the wall.
They offer combo meals that are ideal for those on a budget or eating in groups 👩👩👧👧👨👨👦👦.
FOOD WE ATE
I ordered Carbonara right away, then the cashier told me that it is good for 2 already. A PHP218.00 ($4.24) carbonara is already good for 2 persons, imagine how affordable it is.
My sister ordered Tuna Panini Sandwich with Fries and we both had coke as drinks.
As you can see, the bread on the Carbonara was quite burnt but nothing to worry. When I tasted it, it doesn't taste burnt at all hahahaha 🤣. The Carbonara tasted good and the serving is really big. My sister and I weren't able to finish it. I think 3 to 4 people can finish it. The Panini Sandwich is also good and still. We weren't able to finish it due to the big-serving so we brought our leftovers at home.
When we were about to finish eating, a group of people went inside the restaurant to dine in also. Maybe that's the reason why only 2 people dined in when we get in. Maybe that group of people reserved most of the tables. I've noticed that they give plastic utensils to customers which is not that pleasing to the eye.
I came back last weekend to have some snacks and I ordered their Pizza and Pasta combo worth Php129/$2.51. They still never failed my expectation with their serving size 👧.
I really recommend the place, especially those craving for pastas. Just don't expect too much. It's not a classy restaurant, it's a fast food place still. It's good for people who loves pizza and pasta ❤️. You can easily locate it since it is just at the front part of the mall, 2nd floor. It's very visible from the outside.
