Experience the unique and diversified Vietnamese cuisine through a culinary event at Nam Cuong Hotel, Nam Dinh City

in Foodies Bee Hivelast year

Hi Hivers, how was your day? Vietnamese cuisine is very diverse and rich with delicious dishes. However, each region has different cooking methods and tastes. Vietnam has 63 provinces and each province has its own typical dish. I was very lucky last weekend to participate in a special event, where to introduce and promote Vietnamese cuisine to foreign tourists. Let's explore with me in this article today

The event introducing Vietnamese culinary culture was held on a large scale at Nam Cuong Hotel, Nam Dinh city. This is a long-standing land in Vietnam, where many typical dishes such as Pho converge. Vietnam with the shape of the letter S and we will find out dishes in 3 regions of the North - Central - South in my country

1. The North
Northern Vietnam is characterized by a salty taste, dishes are often cooked with fish sauce. Some typical dishes in the North such as spring rolls, Pho, cakes made from glutinous rice flour or rice flour, and especially green tea

Green tea is grown in some high mountain areas such as Moc Chau or Thai Nguyen. The green tea hills will be harvested and processed to create premium tea packages. Depending on the skill of each person, the taste of green tea will be different. The highlight of the event is Tan Cuong green tea, the artist is Ms. Hien pouring tea for visitors to enjoy. Green tea is a bit bitter at first, but when finished, the final aftertaste will be an unforgettable sweetness

Pho is being cooked meticulously by the chef. Delicious broth is cooked from beef bones, simmered for a long time with spices and noodles must be very thin. And Pho is also one of the Vietnamese words included in the world dictionary. If you come to Vietnam to travel, you must definitely eat this dish

In a few provinces in the Northwest of Vietnam, the typical dishes are dried buffalo meat and wild vegetables. The vegetables are quite fresh and delicious, but can only be grown in cold climates like Sa Pa or Ha Giang

2. Central region
Central people often eat very spicy, almost even the soup is added pepper or chili. This place is famous for dishes such as Quang noodles, Cao Lau, jellyfish noodles, braised fish, Hue beef noodle soup. I like the food in Hue the most because of the variety and affordable price of the food

Look at this pot of braised fish, it's cooked with a lot of chili, isn't it and it's so eye-catching. It is also home to a lot of beautiful beaches and seafood. Jellyfish salad is a dish that should be tried when coming to Nha Trang or Binh Thuan

Especially Quang noodles are cooked with many spices such as turmeric, lemon, lemongrass, chili, roasted peanuts, onions, cinnamon anise, etc. . . It must be said that food is an art and learning all about Vietnamese cuisine is a long and very interesting journey in life

3. Southern Vietnam

In contrast to the North, people in the South love to eat sweets, most of the dishes are added with sugar. Traveling to Saigon, you should definitely try once a dish "Cơm Tấm". The special feature of the dish is that the ribs are marinated and then grilled, which is very fragrant and delicious and the eggs are beautifully golden. The dish of broken rice is usually presented on a round plate, the rice is sprinkled with a little grilled fish sauce mixed with sweet and sour sauce and served with sour food

Vietnam is the country with the most water dishes in the world, such as vermicelli, pho, and noodles are all eaten with broth simmered from pork or beef bones for many hours. If you come to my country, I'm sure you will enjoy the food and you will gain weight hahaa😂

Thank you so much for reading my post today. When you're in a bad mood, eat something you like and then you'll feel a lot better!

What an interesting display of Vietnam cuisines and good on you to introduce this to us. I bet many of us just know the vietnam spring rolls and pho😅. I spotted a cake that looks like moon cake, what's the filling in that one, is it also lotus seed?

Thank you so much for reading my post. This cake is made mainly from green bean and the shape is the same as moon cake 😁
