I am sure that you would love this! You could cook this in an open fire buy it would be kind of chilly for you , to sit and watch for it while it's slowly cooking,

You could cook this in an open fire

Not a bad idea at all. The weather is actually improving. It stopped raining, yesterday and the sun is starting to seriously show her face, once again. Spring vibes all over :<) ✨☀️

When I was a child my relatives who lived in the countryside used to do this open air kind of cooking in the summer.
There was a special jam made out of plums called marmelade ( magiun) which was done in a giant cast iron cauldron which had to sit on the fire for 10-12 hours and slowly cook. Once in a while we would stir with a big wooden spoon. The jam had no sugar added.
There is something so magical about cooking your food outdoors and preparing the fire for it.

For me that smell triggers a feeling of joy. The burned wood , the air, the smell..it just makes anyone happy to cook.

This fond memory of mine makes me dream of having one day one giant outdoor kitchen where I could cook in the nice days. Imagine having a family meal cooked outdoors where everybody could help instead of being confined in a small kitchen.
So if you can, try it, it is one of the advantages of living in a house with a yard🥰

The pot was big, almost triple this size
