[Wander with us to] : Ippuku Cafe @ Rosebery, Sydney Australia

in Foodies Bee Hive • 4 years ago

Hello everyone! 👋

Over the weekend, the other half found a cafe in Rosebery which he wanted to visit and make an outing out of it. The restaurant also advertised on their website that they’re dog friendly so it was also another reason to check it out. We visited the cafe with a friend and also our furbaby Taro.

Located in Rosebery, the cafe named ‘Ippuku’ sits on a busy street where you will need to find street parking. Being a weekend, street parking is not easy to find however we were lucky enough to find one a street away from the cafe.

Ippuku is a Japanese cafe serving all day breakfast menu, sandwiches, noodles and rice bowls. They have a number of interesting selections on the menu such as the fried tofu balls for example. We didn’t get to try the fried tofu balls this time as we were looking for something a bit more filling to keep us going for the rest of the day and not having to need a snack.

Ippuku offers indoor and outdoor seating and is also spacious which is suitable for families with children. Being dog friendly didn’t mean you can dine indoors with your pooch and they offer you seating outside with shelter so you won’t need to worry about the sun or rain.

They say it is dog friendly however they don’t offer anything on the menu for dogs (not even a puppuchino) or even have a dog bowl with water in sight. That was a little disappointing and luckily we packed a few snacks and water for Taro.

So what did we order? We had matcha latte, iced mocha, pork gyoza (dumplings), katsu curry and our friend and I both tried the ebi (fried prawn) sandwich.

Presentation of the food isn’t top notch however the taste of the food and beverages was 👍.

What the cafe had to offer was great with a good variety and this is probably somewhere we’d like to visit again in the future. We definitely want to come back to try the fried tofu balls, ramen and maybe the poke bowl as well.

The staff at the restaurant were attentive and friendly despite being busy. The barrister was also very helpful when helping us decide on what drinks were best to order.

Would we come back again? Yes!
