This could go wild..
The bowls are huge..
and you have the power to add whatever ingredients as much as you'd like..
and you're doing that when you come in starving..
and you keep adding stuff in, more and more..
without knowing how much weight you have added into the bowl..
Then you give that bowl to them at the counter, have them weigh it, and you pay for it.
They cook, then serve you the stuff you pick, in a spicy soup (well, there are a few choices to choose from).
It's a new way of dining that has started to get popular here these past few years or so.
I went to one. Super Soup - MaLaTang!
So Super soup I assume it's their name.
MalaTang is a type of this Chinese food.
Let's dive in some more.
Malatang is a spicy Chinese hot pot dish.
You choose raw ingredients like veggies and meat, then cook them in a spicy broth.
It's known for its numbing and spicy taste from Sichuan peppercorns and chili peppers.
You cook your ingredients in the broth
(this one they do it for you discreetly in the kitchen.
You never know what else they add into the bowl #lol),
One of the most fun part is the dipping sauce yes!!
Like, their spicy and savory soup is not flavorful enough already.
So we add in flavors some more.
It's fun because you create it yourself.
Your sauce, you taste!
My favorite for Mala soup is this subtle Sesame and peanut sauce.
Just to calm the spicy soup taste down a little.
I add that a bunch of that sauce.
Then add more fresh chili, garlic, and some other sour sauce.
At the time the sauce is done, the soup is served in no time.
You will be surprised how big the bowl could be.
It's scary you add those ingredients in when you're super duper hungry and can't control yourself.
Dip it into your own dipping sauce creation. Can't be more delicious than that.
Normally, I ended up paying 1xx for a bowl.
If you need to pay more than that, you'd better watch out for your fat a**
I have also tried a few more places like this.
But this one for some reason seems to be one of the most popular.
