I hope you are well I was absent for health reasons, I join again to continue highlighting the cuisine of my country, which has great variety depending on each region. I want to share a recipe for a sweet Creole of our state as is the sweet mango fruit that is produced from the month of May and continues its harvest until the end of the year. It is a very simple preparation and it is made in many homes, it is also marketed in different areas of the city. With this tasty fruit we can prepare sweets, mango jelly and salads.
Preparación-Preparation
Se cortan en capas grandes y pequeñas, se colocan en una olla con abundante agua y se sancocha por espacios de 15 minutos hasta que ablanden.
They are cut into large and small layers, placed in a pot with plenty of water and boiled for 15 minutes until tender.
To prepare the sweet we need green mangoes, sugar and cloves, wash them well, then peel them with the help of a knife.
Then add sugar or papelón, cloves and cinnamon stick, cook until the syrup is made, stirring occasionally with a wooden paddle to prevent it from sticking to the pan.
Next, the contents of the preparation are placed in a container until it cools down.
It is then placed in the refrigerator and we will enjoy this snack when the occasion calls for it.
