Typical EU virtue signalling. Recycling plastic is a total waste of time and energy.

I've visited the largest plastic recycling plant in the Southern Hemisphere and looked at buying large amounts of recycled HDPE, including getting quotes.

What I learned is that the quality is lower and its unusable for many purposes and the cost is the same as new plastic.

So its utterly pointless virtue signalling.
