The Hopfen und Malz is in the new meeting place, because there is a semi-separate room for us with space for up to 25 participants.

The Hopfen und Malz looks old and simple from the outside. But this place has so much history. Way back in the 80s and 90ties, this place was the Disco Charlton where even Detlev was active on the dancefloor...
We got a room at the famous Hopfen & Malz bar and brewery in the heart of the city of Aachen.
Who could reject this idea?

Very special add-on activity
As you all know I like the different styles of beer. For that day, you can book directly with the event location a "Trappist BEER tasting" but you have to be quick. Read at my other post about the very special Trappist beer.

Wann? Am 16.12. um 19 Uhr.
Das ganze dauert 2 1/2 Stunden und der Eintrittspreis liegt bei 40€ pro Person. [Ruft uns an oder schreibt uns eine Nachricht](https://hopfenundmalz.de/kontakt/) , um einen Platz zu reservieren. Wir freuen uns auf euch!

The whole thing lasts 2 1/2 hours and the entrance fee is 40€ per person.

If you don't go to the tasting, just stay for the 2 hours at the Hive Meeting - which runs in parallel in the large pub.
Wer nicht zu dem Tasting geht, bleibt die 2h einfach bei dem Hive Meeting - das parallel dazu in dem großen Lokal läuft.
Christmas market - Weihnachtsmarkt
For about four weeks before Christmas, the squares and lanes around Aachen Cathedral and the town hall are transformed into a Christmas village. Twinkling lights and the scent of mulled wine and Aachener Printen (kind of gingerbread) wherever you go - all in a unique atmosphere! It’s no coincidence that the Aachen Christmas market has regularly made it to the top ten Best Christmas Markets in Europe in recent years.
Rund vier Wochen vor Weihnachten verwandeln sich die Plätze und Gassen rund um den Aachener Dom und das Rathaus in ein Weihnachtsdorf. Der Lichterglanz, überall der Duft nach Glühwein & Printen – und das in außergewöhnlicher Atmosphäre! Nicht umsonst wurde der Aachener Weihnachtsmarkt – früher auch Printenmarkt genannt – in den letzten Jahren regelmäßig unter die Top 10 der European Best Chrismas Markets gewählt.

Hotels
Make sure you get your bed early. We are close to the center where you see the Aachen Theater like this view
If you like to stay overnight, there is a modern and new Youthhostel Aachen or some Hotels via HRS and the Ibis Marschiertor direct at the railway station. We have the cheap A&O Aachen Hauptbahnhof where you get a room from 10€.
Wer gern im schönen Aachen übernachten möchte, der wird entweder in der modernen und neuen Jugendherberge Aachen oder den Hotels via HRS wobei das Ibis Marschiertor direkt am Bahnhof recht gut gelegen ist. Ganz günstig ist auch das A&O Aachen Hauptbahnhof wo es ab 10€ ein Bett gibt.

Besten Dank für die Einladung.
Allerdings ergab der letzte Check-up am Zustand der Muskeln und Sehnen, dass der Spagat über die Alpenkette hinweg nicht unbedingt ratsam erscheint. - Obwohl Hopfen und Malz dafür berühmt sind, diverse Verspannungen am Körper lösen zu können.😉
