Am Wochenende habe ich hin und wieder Zeit, mich mit KI-Tools zu beschäftigen. Diesmal habe ich mich mit dem Tool Udio gespielt und KI-gestützt Musik produziert.
Gängige KI-Tools wie ChatGPT, Copilot und Gemini sind alltagstaugliche Hilfen, die ich immer wieder nutze. Auch KI-Tools zum Erzeugen von Bildern, beispielsweise Leonardo AI und Alpaca Chroma nutze ich regelmäßig, wenn ich Bilder generieren will. Für AI-gestützte Musikprogramme hatte ich bislang kaum Zeit. Es ist daher bei einigen wenigen Versuchen mit Suno und einem ersten Song geblieben, den ich mit Udio erstellt habe. Dieses Wochenende hatte ich endlich wieder einmal mehr Zeit.
Kurzerhand habe ich mich gestern wieder mit Udio befasst und einen weiteren Song produziert - bzw. mir beim Produzieren helfen lassen. Ich habe mich aber nicht nur einfach herumgespielt um Erfahrungen zu sammeln, sondern habe im Rahmen meines Engagements im Upland Metaversum - konkret für das aktuelle Airdrop-Event einen Song erstellt.
Udio ist ein leicht zu bedienendes Tool, das mit wenigen Einstellungen und etwas Input beachtliche Ergebnisse ermöglicht. Zunächst habe ich mir einen Text überlegt und eine erste Version geschrieben. Da ich einen englischen Text erstellen wollte und mein Englisch verbesserungswürdig ist, habe ich den Text zunächst mit Gemini optimiert.
Den Song habe ich "Follow me, follow you" genannt und zwar aus aktuellem Anlass. In Upland findet gerade ein Airdrop-Event statt, bei dem Sparklet (ERC-20 Token) ergattert werden können. Es gilt Airdrop Missionen zu erledigen, die darin bestehen auf X (Twitter) gewisse Postings (Tweets) von Upland zu liken, zu reposten und zu kommentieren. Die so erzielten Punkte multipliziert mit einem Multiplikator können am Ende gegen Sparklet eingelöst werden, die einen erheblichen Wert in Upland haben und die in Kürze auch als Kryptowährung gehandelt werden können. Der Multiplikator wiederum basiert auf dem Alter des X- (Twitter-) Accounts und der Anzahl der Follower. Da der Multiplikator mit der Anzahl der Follower stufenweise ansteigt, ist es wichtig die Follower-Base zu vergrößern.
Nachdem ich für den Song den Text (Intro, Verse, Chorus und Outro) fertig hatte, ging es an das Einspielen der einzelnen Parts. Mit Uido gilt es zunächst einen Teil des Songs zu erstellen, der in der Folge sukzessive erweitert werden kann. Zunächst habe ich die Musikrichtung gewählt und nach Eingabe des ersten Teils den ersten Part des Songs generieren lassen. Uido liefert jeweils 2 Versionen. Ist eine Version dabei, die gefällt, kann erweitert werden. Nach und nach habe ich die gewünschten Songteile ergänzt. Danach habe ich noch ein Sujet einer Sängerin in Alpaca Croma erstellt, den Song samt Bild auf Veed.io hochgeladen und das so generierte Musik-Video mit statischem Bild auf YouTube gestellt. Nach insgesamt knapp 2 Stunden war mein Song als Video online.

Over the weekends, I occasionally have time to tinker with AI tools. This time, I played around with Udio and created AI-powered music. Common AI tools like ChatGPT, Copilot, and Gemini are everyday aids that I use regularly. I also regularly use AI tools for image generation, such as Leonardo AI and Alpaca Chroma, when I want to generate images. However, I haven't had much time for AI-powered music programs. So, it has remained with a few attempts with Suno and a first song that I created with Udio. This weekend I finally had more time again.
On the spur of the moment, I got back to Udio yesterday and produced another song - or rather, let it help me produce one. But I didn't just play around to gain experience, I created a song as part of my involvement in the Upland Metaverse - specifically for the ongoing Airdrop Event.
Udio is an easy-to-use tool that can achieve remarkable results with a few settings and some input. First, I came up with a text and wrote an initial version. Since I wanted to create an English text and my English is in need of improvement, I first optimized the text with Gemini.
I named the song "Follow me, follow you" and for good reason. There is currently an airdrop event taking place in Upland where Sparklet (ERC-20 tokens) can be earned. Airdrop missions have to be completed, which consist of liking, reposting and commenting on certain Upland posts (tweets) on X (Twitter). The points earned in this way, multiplied by a multiplier, can be redeemed for Sparklet at the end, which have a considerable value in Upland and can soon also be traded as a cryptocurrency. The multiplier in turn is based on the age of the X (Twitter) account and the number of followers. Since the multiplier increases in steps with the number of followers, it is important to increase the follower base.
Once I had the lyrics for the song (intro, verse, chorus, and outro) ready, it was time to record the individual parts. With Udio, you first have to create a part of the song, which can then be successively expanded. First I chose the music genre and after entering the first part I had the first part of the song generated. Uido delivers 2 versions each. If there is a version that you like, you can expand it. Gradually I added the desired song parts. Then I created a subject of a singer in Alpaca Croma, uploaded the song including the picture to Veed.io and published the generated music video with static picture on Youtube. After a total of just under 2 hours, my song was online as a video.

Der Song ist... naja nicht schlecht fuer AI aber der optimierte TExt von Gemini ist bisschen maeh finde ich.
Irgendwie liebt es KI das Gefuehl von community mit dem Wort intertwined zu unterstreichen. Ist mir bereits oefter passiert beim experimentieren mit SUNO. Udio muss ich mal ausprobieren.

Bezüglich des Songs ist klar zu sagen, dass es hier noch viel Luft nach oben gibt. Beim Texten musste ich Abstriche in Kauf nehmen - mit mehr Zeit hätte ich mehr rausholen können. Trotzdem bin ich mit dem Ergebnis ganz zufrieden. In die Charts wollte ich damit sowieso nicht kommen.
