I find the subject difficult. I was also in the HIVE Discord a few days ago where the topic of onboarding was also heavily discussed. There doesn't seem to be a real consensus. I think the idea with the Shaddow accounts is good but also bad. As soon as the influencers realize that their content is being distributed elsewhere, there could be problems. There should be a mechanism so that the creators who subsequently discover HIVE can also claim their account. I imagine that would be complicated. In addition, it could be that these very creators then talk badly about hive because their content is stolen and monetized. Even if this is not the case, most creators will not understand why the payout is declined and that this is intentional. They will take it to mean that their content was used and then the monetization was blocked.

Good points, I think the very idea of the Fediverse (Mastodon) is to distribute and make the content available on other servers, platforms. So if you register and post there, you basically agree that your content gets distributed. But I like the idea that the owners could somehow claim their accounts later. Also bad publicity is publicity. But definitely needs more discussion how to do it in a fair way, with rewards declined etc.
