I was very uneasy about the bridge situation throughout the day. Sounded too much like foul-play.
Was it truly the democratic result of the election? I don't honestly know. After what happened with our own elections in Romania in December and then May, I'm doubtful. On the other hand, I do sympathize greatly with Moldova's precarious position (lacking so much EU and NATO protection, if protection it be). I understand why they might go this way.
However, none of this is truly representative, nor is it a reason for the EU to celebrate the result.

Precisely my thought. From all this intense focus on Moldova, it does seem to me to be a battleground of some sort for other forces. And frankly, that never ends well, particularly for a country so poor and exposed as Moldova.
