seit 14 Tagen war nichts mehr von mir zu hören. Das hatte seine Gründe, den die Umbauarbeiten an unsere Wohnung hat, doch mehr Zeit in Anspruch genommen. Nachdem die Kosten von Strom, Öl, Gas und Lebensmittel explodiert sind und noch weiter steigen. Mussten wir auch handel und unsere Wohnung genau betrachten. Uns fiel die Heizkosten auf, da können wir etwas tun.

Es fiel uns auf, dass die Fenster nicht mehr so dicht sind und so schauten wir uns die Dichtung an. Nun, die waren hart und dichten nicht mehr so ab, na ja, was will man nach 30 Jahren erwarten. Also begaben wir uns auf, in den Jungle der Fenstergummis. Nach etlichen Stunden haben wir die richtigen Dichtungen gefunden. Diese haben wir beim Hersteller direkt bestellt. Wir kamen auf 85 m Dichtung für die gesamte Wohnung und dieses haben wir auch so bestellt, es kam alles auf einer Rolle an.

Das Paket kam an und wir macht uns an die Arbeit. Denn alle Fenster mussten von uns ausgebaut werden und die Halterung entfernt werden. Damit wir die alten Dichtungsgummis getauscht werden können. Nun die Fenster sind unterschiedlich groß und auch schwer. Auch die Balkontür musste raus, das war nicht gerade einfach. Aber wir haben das dann auch zusammen geschafft. Ich bin richtig stolz auf meine Frau, kein Gejammer, dass sie es nicht kann oder schafft.

Wir haben bei den Fenstern nicht aufgehört, den auch die Türen müssen gemacht werden. Hier war eine Dichtung nicht mehr vorhanden, den diese hat sich aufgelöst. Die Suche nach dem richtigen Dichtungsgummi begann von vorne. Es war nicht einfach, eine 30 Jahren alten Dichtung zu finden, den Sie werden kaum noch hergestellt. Nun, wir mussten hier eine ähnliche Dichtung nehmen und einbauen. Es passt alles und die Fenster und Türen sind jetzt wieder dicht.

Wer jetzt denkt, das wars, der täuscht sich. Auch alle Silikonfugen an den Fensterbänken haben wir erneuert. Dazu mussten wir das alte Silikon entfernen und herauskratzen. Dann musste alles neu nach gezogen werden. Somit haben wir schon mal ein ganzes Stück geschafft. Doch dann haben wir Post von den Stadtwerken bekommen. Auch wir mit der Zentralheizung sind von der Gasumlage betroffen. Das heißt, es wird richtig teuer, nun werden wir uns um die Heizung selber kümmern. Für das Abdichten haben wir insgesamt 450 € investiert in Dichtung für Fenster, Dichtung für die Türen, Silikon und Kleinzeug. Es ist eine Investition in die Zukunft, den die Wohnung ist unser Eigentum.
