Das Frankfurter Städel teilt einen Großteil seiner Sammlung kostenlos im Internet und lädt somit zu einem virtuellen Museumsbesuch ein. Dabei geht es nicht nur um Alte Meister. Das Urheberrecht, das eine solche Online-Stellung erst ermöglicht, erlischt mit dem 70. Todestag von Künstlern - und darunter fällt z. B. auch Max Beckmann. Er war Lehrer an der Städel-Schule und es sind über 100 Werke von ihm dort in der Sammlung.
The Städel museum in Frankfurt shares a large part of its collection free of charge on the internet and thus invites you to a virtual museum visit. It is not only the Old Masters that are featured. The copyright that makes such an online presentation possible expires on the 70th anniversary of an artist's death - and this includes Max Beckmann, for example. He was a teacher at the Städel School and there are over 100 of his works in the collection there.
Alle diese Arbeiten sind jetzt ohne Copyright, zur beliebigen Verwendung, online. Kommerzielle Nutzung ist erlaubt mit Nennung des Städels als Bildquelle.
All these works are now online without copyright, for use as desired. Commercial use is permitted with credit to the Städel as the source of the image.
Nicht alle Museen und Sammlungen gehen so weit wie das Städel - aber schaut einmal online in eurem Lieblings-Museum vorbei. Vielleicht wartet dort eine Überraschung auf euch :)
