in Dolphin Assemble4 years ago (edited)

Half a year has passed us with a few months being locked up at home due to Covid-19.

With a blink of our eyes, it may be December soon and we would have to welcome 2021.

I am fortunate to be able to achieve a few of my resolutions during the lockdown. But, there is one resolution which I am severely lagging behind which is to read a book a month. I haven't been able to keep up with my reading because I do most of my reading while commuting back and forth work. Without the need to commute and there being so many distractions at home, I am now way behind schedule. Haha..

My aim is still 12 books this year. I am just on my third book for the year though. 😅

This is a meaningful resolution and goal. !tip

🎁 Hi @culgin! You have received 0.1 HIVE tip from @fun2learn!

Sending tips with @tipU - how to guide.

Not sure if it’s a resolution but to get to 1 BTC and to average 100k visits a month on my website are two short term goals im pushing for currently on 0.7 BTC and around 65-70k per month

These two goals are realistic targets since we have less than 6 months for our goals. !tip 0.2

No cooking resolutions ?

LOL never, I regret nothing that I eat lol I just want more of it but at the same time to remain in shape

My resolution for the new year will we to get a body scan. I have wanted that for a long time but it’s in Germany and its expensive. I have that wish because it can help when i see that things can be done better for my body. Very scary but needed. And I have planned to go to SA in summer 2021 for visiting a friend and I will be flying with my stewardess friend. So excited for the new year let’s hope covid won’t appear in the next few months.
B

Hopefully, you get to have the body scan and travel. 😁

You have so many plans before the end of the year. All the best! 👍

Muchas gracias!!!

Hi. In May, 2019, I was diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes. My A1C level was 288, which was dangerously high. My doctor advised that I needed to lower my blood glucose level almost 188 points. I almost fainted. That was impossible, I thought to myself.

After struggling for several months, I decided to take positive action and devise a plan. Last December, I published a post advising of my New Year's resolution for 2020. Here's a link to that post:

My New Year's Resolution to Stay Alive in 2020

In my January, 2020 plan, I would start on my goal was to get to 100 or lower by monitoring my A1C levels daily to ensure I was on track. Because of spikes during the month due to various underlying illnesses in addition to Diabetes, I decided to track my progress at the beginning of each month. That way, I can get a clearer picture of how I did during the previous month. Whether I was ill during the month played an important role in whether my level would be reduced significantly for that period. I planned to publish a post about my monthly results. So far, I've adhered to my resolution to lower my A1C levels and track my monthly progress in my February - June posts. In those posts, I added a table showing my monthly A1C levels. It's handy for me to see my progress in writing.

For the six-month period, January - June, 2020, I've lowered my A1C level only another 36 points. But it's a total of 161 points since May, 2019. Only 27 more to go. But they seem to be the hardest. I have six months left in this year to accomplish this. I feel I can do it.

Here's a link to my last post from yesterday for my July progress:
JULY, 2020 Diabetes Report

I'm taking it slow and am on track toward my 188 point reduction in my A1C level by December, 2020 and to a more healthier me. I will never be rid of Diabetes because there is no cure. It's something I'll have to live with the rest of my life. My goal is to stay as healthy as I can so that this disease won't affect other aspects of my life. Having Diabetes, together in addition to other underlying conditions make me a prime candidate for contracting COVID-19. I'm doing my utmost to avoid that by staying in.

Health is really important and your goal for a better health is definitely crucial. May your target be reached before the end of the year or sooner than expected.

Thank you so much dolphin-assemble for visiting and leaving me such a wonderful TIP. I appreciate yur support and kind words related to my health.

@tipu ever so grateful for bringing me news of the wonderful tip from dolphin-assemble.

I suppose I have really had multiple resolutions for this year, many of them having been established since we started lockdown in this part of the world in early March.

Although we're in the US, we're following a Canadian initiative that's being publicized a lot these days: "Grow it! Don't mow it!" as a result of which we're in an ongoing project of converting almost all our lawn to either vegetable beds or a flower garden.

Meanwhile, I am also working to organize and update all my blogs and web sites, which are in sorry need of maintenance, as I have "been away" too much with external work, for the past 5 years. This is just part of becoming more solid as a home-based self-employed family. Part of this is also organizing our home and letting go of unneeded excess by "disposing" of it through eBay, Poshmark and so on.

These are really practical resolution. Hope that you are able to fulfil them successfully. !tip 0.3

◘ Aprender dibujo y pintura

I like this initiative, @ fun2learn. It gives the opportunity to put yourself back in active mode in your personal life project.
I really don't know whether to talk about goals or hopes, since the appearance of the Covid19 and the subsequent quarantine, as well as the slow process of lack of control, have changed many things.

◘I hope to be able to reunite with my family (even for a few days) by December.

◘A project that I keep doing every day is to grow on the blockchain. Grow mainly in HP so that my vote has more power to reward other users. I would like to vote for many and with significant votes.

◘ Make the compilation of two volumes of my texts; a collection of poems and a collection of short stories.

◘ Conduct NLP workshops

◘ Learn drawing and painting

¡Gracias por compartir!
