This is a horror movie in the classic style, but this time a modern technological element, the cell phone, was used as the main character of the story.

The script written by Justin Dec and Rich Della, the first was also the director, leads us to the approach about what someone would do if he knew the day of his death and it is unveiled through an application that ends up being demonic and becomes the executioner of those who download it.

Starring Elizabeth Lail who in 2016 had had the lead role in the horror TV series Dead of Summer, as nurse Quinn Harris who does not stay calm when the application tells her that she will die in three days but seeks a way to save herself and accompanied by Jordan Calloway as Matt Monroe and Talitha Bateman as Jordan Harris, sister of the first one, both young people with the same fate in similar time.

The plot develops in the struggle of this trio to overcome the destiny that the application points out to them and in that battle traditional factors appear that impregnate the scenes with suspense, especially the noise of the cell phone every time the application makes a reminder.

It was a low budget film, the same was at just under $ 5 million, which is why there are no complicated scenes or with great special effects and was released in October 2019 by STX Entertainment and received mixed reviews prevailing the negative ones by specialists who comment on the weakness of the script and the predictability of it.

However, at the box office it made good profits as it grossed more than 41 million dollars, which proves that horror is still a segment that attracts many people.

Personally, I consider that it fulfills the purpose of entertaining, creating suspense and even scaring those who see it, besides showing us the insane side that can be created through a technological device as common today as the cell phone.
