Continuing in the vein of the movie Left Behind that I told you yesterday, this time I saw the second part of it, but not the one made in 2014 with Nicholas Page but the one made in 2000, directed by Bill Corcoran and which turned out to be a saga of three productions based on the book of the same name written by Tim LaHaye and Jerry B. Jenkins.

This time the film begins a few months after the abduction, when martial law has been necessary to normalize the situation and a series of events have caused the collapse of the various governments, for which the UN has had to take action in many of them.

A character appears who becomes the world guide, promising to restore order and peace and ends up being appointed Secretary General of the international organization, but there is a small detail, he denies the existence of heaven and earth.

The Christians who have remained after the previous event try to organize themselves to confront what they consider to be the antichrist, pointed out in the scriptures and it will be Buck Williams, a journalist with a respectable media power who takes the mission to try to stop him, for that he counts on the help of the congregation where both he and Rayford Steele and his daughter Cloe, have accepted Christ as savior.

Kirk Cameron plays the lead role and plays Buck, besides being an actor and having participated in other Christian films such as Fireproof, he is an evangelist and pastor of the evangelical Christian church New Birth, while Brad Johnson, famous for playing the Marlboro Man in the cigarette wedge, and Janaya Stephens, who made her film debut in the previous film of the saga, play the role of Rayford and Chloe, while Gordon Currie plays the role of the Antichrist.

It was released to the public in October 2002 and was not presented in theaters but directly to VHS tapes that allowed it to be screened in Christian churches.

It had a third part whose title was Left Behind: Next Generation in 2016.
